Los desarrolladores del distribuidor AlmaLinux han presentado una nueva versi\u00f3n de la herramienta ELevate, que simplifica la migraci\u00f3n entre versiones importantes de distribuciones basadas en la base de paquetes de Red Hat Enterprise Linux, preservando aplicaciones, datos y configuraciones. El proyecto admite la migraci\u00f3n entre ramas principales de AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux y CentOS Stream. <\/p>\n

Para la migraci\u00f3n se utiliza la herramienta Leapp, desarrollada por Red Hat, que se complementa con parches que tienen en cuenta las particularidades de CentOS y otras distribuciones basadas en RHEL. El proyecto tambi\u00e9n utiliza un conjunto ampliado de metadatos que describen los pasos para trasladar paquetes individuales de una rama a otra de la distribuci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

Para migrar, solo es necesario conectar el repositorio proporcionado por el proyecto, instalar el paquete con el script de migraci\u00f3n en la distribuci\u00f3n elegida (leapp-data-almalinux, leapp-data-centos, leapp-data-oraclelinux, leapp-data-rocky) y ejecutar la utilidad \u00ableapp\u00bb. Por ejemplo, para pasar de AlmaLinux 9 a AlmaLinux 10, se pueden ejecutar los siguientes comandos, despu\u00e9s de actualizar el sistema a su estado actual: <\/p>\n

La nueva versi\u00f3n incluye scripts de actualizaci\u00f3n de AlmaLinux 9 a AlmaLinux 10.0, de AlmaLinux 9 a AlmaLinux Kitten 10, as\u00ed como de CentOS Stream 9 a CentOS Stream 10. Durante la actualizaci\u00f3n, se garantiza la compatibilidad con los repositorios de terceros EPEL, Docker CE y PostgreSQL.
