Para identificar las aplicaciones que generan archivos que consumen espacio en disco en el directorio personal del usuario, se ha preparado un proceso en segundo plano llamado whomade, que rastrea la aparici\u00f3n de nuevos archivos mediante el mecanismo fanotify. El proyecto est\u00e1 escrito en C++ y se distribuye bajo la licencia GPLv3. <\/p>\n

Los datos se almacenan en una base de datos SQLite3, que se limpia peri\u00f3dicamente de informaci\u00f3n obsoleta (por ejemplo, datos sobre archivos eliminados). Para implementar la funcionalidad requerida, actualmente whomade rastrea a trav\u00e9s de fanotify la apertura de archivos, filtrando eventos innecesarios, en lugar de realizar directamente operaciones de creaci\u00f3n de archivos.
