Canonical ha anunciado un per\u00edodo de 15 a\u00f1os para la formaci\u00f3n de actualizaciones de las versiones LTS de Ubuntu. Esta extensi\u00f3n se aplicar\u00e1 a todas las versiones LTS actuales, comenzando con Ubuntu 14.04. De este modo, el soporte para Ubuntu 14.04 se ha ampliado hasta abril de 2029, las actualizaciones para Ubuntu 24.04 se formar\u00e1n hasta 2039, Ubuntu 22.04 hasta 2037, Ubuntu 20.04 hasta 2035, y as\u00ed sucesivamente.
