El proyecto Debian ha comenzado a probar el sistema Debusine, que permite crear repositorios personalizados a trav\u00e9s de los cuales se pueden distribuir versiones m\u00e1s recientes de software, llevar a cabo pruebas preliminares de paquetes o alojar paquetes adicionales que no son adecuados para los repositorios est\u00e1ndar de Debian. Debusine se presenta como el an\u00e1logo de Debian a los repositorios PPA (Personal Package Archive) utilizados en Ubuntu. El proyecto es desarrollado por Colin Watson, quien en su momento form\u00f3 parte de los comit\u00e9s t\u00e9cnicos de Debian y Ubuntu, y trabaj\u00f3 en el desarrollo del servicio Launchpad, el instalador de Ubuntu y el sistema de inicializaci\u00f3n Upstart. <\/p>\n

Se espera que Debusine sea \u00fatil para los desarrolladores de Debian, permitiendo la prueba aislada de paquetes en sistemas reales antes de enviar cambios al repositorio principal. Por ejemplo, al solucionar un problema en un paquete, el desarrollador puede utilizar Debusine para que los usuarios afectados puedan probar la soluci\u00f3n antes de su implementaci\u00f3n. Debusine tambi\u00e9n puede ser utilizado por proyectos que deseen distribuir varias versiones de software simult\u00e1neamente o aquellos que no pueden cumplir con los requisitos de Debian para los paquetes en los repositorios principales. <\/p>\n

Al publicar paquetes, Debusine ofrece funcionalidad para realizar pruebas de calidad (QA) y en el futuro se dispondr\u00e1 de herramientas para rastrear regresiones (en desarrollo). Se ofrece la capacidad de verificar paquetes mediante firma digital, utilizando claves vinculadas a los repositorios. Los paquetes se compilan teniendo en cuenta el contenido actual del repositorio Debusine, as\u00ed como la versi\u00f3n correspondiente de Debian. Todos los repositorios cuentan con un sistema incorporado para crear instant\u00e1neas autom\u00e1ticamente. <\/p>\n

Para la prueba, Debusine se ha puesto en funcionamiento servidor<\/a> debusine.debian.net, donde la posibilidad de publicar paquetes est\u00e1 actualmente disponible solo para desarrolladores y mantenedores de Debian que tienen una cuenta en Salsa. Para publicar paquetes, se pueden utilizar las herramientas debusine-client y dput-ng. En debusine.debian.net se permite el alojamiento de paquetes cuyos t\u00e9rminos de licencia cumplen con los requisitos de Debian.
