Se ha publicado el primer lanzamiento de la aplicaci\u00f3n Lite Catalog, que implementa una interfaz para buscar e instalar aplicaciones abiertas y gratuitas recopiladas para la plataforma Windows. Paralelamente, el proyecto mantiene un repositorio git con un cat\u00e1logo que actualmente presenta 141 aplicaciones. Para algunos programas, hay versiones archivadas disponibles, compatibles con ediciones anteriores de Windows. <\/p>\n

El proyecto no genera ni distribuye compilaciones por s\u00ed mismo, sino que contiene metadatos con enlaces a los archivos de instalaci\u00f3n originales, preparados por los principales desarrolladores de los programas presentados. En los metadatos tambi\u00e9n hay informaci\u00f3n adicional, como descripciones, capturas de pantalla, enlaces a repositorios y sitios web. Para verificar la autenticidad e integridad de los archivos descargados, se realiza una verificaci\u00f3n adicional del hash SHA1 en la mayor\u00eda de los proyectos, guardado por separado en los metadatos. <\/p>\n

Las aplicaciones est\u00e1n divididas en 7 categor\u00edas; si lo deseas, puedes elegir y descargar un programa sin iniciar la interfaz gr\u00e1fica del cat\u00e1logo, buscando el programa necesario en la secci\u00f3n correspondiente del repositorio en Github y determinando el archivo para descargar desde el archivo ini con los metadatos. Al usar la aplicaci\u00f3n Lite Catalog, es posible la auto-instalaci\u00f3n de versiones port\u00e1tiles de las aplicaciones; los archivos comprimidos (zip, 7z, rar) se descomprimen autom\u00e1ticamente por defecto en el directorio C:\\Programs\\ creando accesos directos en el escritorio.
