El proyecto MATE sigue desarrollando la base de c\u00f3digo GNOME 2.32 manteniendo la cl\u00e1sica concepci\u00f3n de la formaci\u00f3n del escritorio. La rama 1.29 se presenta como experimental y se utiliza para desarrollar y probar la funcionalidad de la pr\u00f3xima versi\u00f3n estable MATE 1.30. <\/p>\n<p>Desde la primavera de 2024, el desarrollo de MATE hab\u00eda estado estancado, pero ahora V\u00edctor Kareh de Red Hat se ha unido al soporte activo del proyecto. Entre los cambios en MATE 1.29:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha a\u00f1adido la propiedad hotplug_mode_update a la configuraci\u00f3n de MateRROutput, que utiliza la extensi\u00f3n RandR para soportar el cambio din\u00e1mico de la resoluci\u00f3n por dispositivos de salida. En la pr\u00e1ctica, esto permite adaptar el entorno al cambiar el tama\u00f1o de la ventana al iniciarse en sistemas de virtualizaci\u00f3n.\n<li class=\"l\"> El mecanismo de generaci\u00f3n de miniaturas en segundo plano ha sido despojado de las llamadas espec\u00edficas de X11 al trabajar en entornos basados en Wayland.
