El sistema operativo se encuentra en fase alfa de desarrollo. Se ha preparado una imagen ISO de arranque (198 MB) para descargar. El c\u00f3digo del proyecto se distribuye bajo las licencias GPLv2 y LGPLv2.       <\/p>\n<p> Desde la \u00faltima versi\u00f3n, se han realizado 2808 cambios y se han cerrado 381 informes de problemas. Cambios clave:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha propuesto un BootCD unificado, que combina en un solo archivo ISO un entorno Live para familiarizarse con el sistema y un instalador para instalar ReactOS en un medio permanente.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha a\u00f1adido una interfaz gr\u00e1fica para la instalaci\u00f3n, actualizaci\u00f3n y recuperaci\u00f3n del sistema, que reemplaza al instalador textual anteriormente ofrecido. Entre otras cosas, se ha solucionado la ca\u00edda de rendimiento al usar controladores NVIDIA y se han resuelto problemas que causaban pantallas en negro en aplicaciones OpenGL al usar controladores AMD. Gracias a la implementaci\u00f3n de los subsistemas KMDF (Kernel-Mode Driver Framework) y WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model), se ha logrado soportar la mayor\u00eda de los controladores de video disponibles para Windows XP y Windows Server 2003.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha incluido un nuevo controlador sklhdaudbus para HD Audio, construido utilizando el marco KMDF (Kernel Mode Driver Framework) y que permite utilizar cualquier controlador HD Audio compatible con Windows XP y Windows Server 2003. El controlador admite correctamente la suspensi\u00f3n, permite el acceso a AudioDSP en plataformas Intel y es compatible con controladores para QEMU y VMWare. Se ha mejorado la detecci\u00f3n de dispositivos de sonido y se ha aumentado la compatibilidad binaria con el stack de sonido de Windows. En la interfaz de configuraci\u00f3n de sonido, se asegura la correcta conservaci\u00f3n del estado de los deslizadores de volumen y balance entre reinicios.       <center>  <video controls=\"\" style=\"width: 700px; height: 400px; max-width:100%\"><source src=\"https:\/\/reactos.org\/img\/project-news\/reactos-0416-released\/hdaudbus.mp4\" type=\"video\/mp4\"><\/video>  <\/center>\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha realizado un nuevo controlador de almacenamiento ATA, que admite el funcionamiento con dispositivos SATA, PATA, ATAPI, AHCI y SCSI, solucionando problemas de latencia al arrancar y compatible con m\u00e1quinas virtuales Hyper-V.\n<li class=\"l\"> En la utilidad chkdsk se ha implementado la capacidad de verificar y recuperar la integridad de las particiones con el sistema de archivos FAT al usar el controlador Microsoft FastFAT.    <center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/5872ff7fd3e2f7b0df9c0acc76d39038.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha a\u00f1adido la herramienta cleanmgr con una interfaz gr\u00e1fica para eliminar informaci\u00f3n innecesaria en el disco (como limpiar la papelera de reciclaje y eliminar archivos temporales).
