En Linux From Scratch se proporcionan instrucciones para crear desde cero un sistema Linux b\u00e1sico, utilizando los c\u00f3digos fuente del software necesario. La edici\u00f3n Beyond Linux From Scratch se desarrolla por separado y complementa las instrucciones de LFS con informaci\u00f3n sobre la construcci\u00f3n y configuraci\u00f3n de alrededor de 1000 paquetes de software, abarcando diversas \u00e1reas de aplicaci\u00f3n, desde bases de datos y sistemas de servidores hasta entornos gr\u00e1ficos y reproductores multimedia. La publicaci\u00f3n de BLFS 13.1 est\u00e1 prevista para los pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas.      <\/p>\n<p>En Linux From Scratch 13.1 se han actualizado 46 paquetes, entre los que se encuentran el n\u00facleo Linux 7.1.8, Systemd 261.2, GCC 16.2.0, Glibc 2.44, Binutils 2.47, Coreutils 9.11, OpenSSL 4.0.1, Vim 9.2.1025, Perl 5.44.0 y Util-linux 2.42.2. Se ha a\u00f1adido la biblioteca matem\u00e1tica mpdecimal 4.0.1. Los paquetes XML-Parser e intltool se han eliminado y se han trasladado a la edici\u00f3n BLFS. Se han corregido errores en los scripts de arranque y se han realizado trabajos editoriales en los materiales explicativos de todo el libro.           <\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de LFS y BLFS, anteriormente se han publicado varios libros adicionales en el marco del proyecto:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00abAutomated Linux From Scratch\u00bb \u2014 un marco para la automatizaci\u00f3n de la construcci\u00f3n del sistema LFS y la gesti\u00f3n de paquetes;  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00abCross Linux From Scratch\u00bb \u2014 descripci\u00f3n de la construcci\u00f3n multiplataforma del sistema LFS, se soportan arquitecturas: x86, x86_64, sparc, mips, PowerPC, alpha, hppa, arm;  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00abHardened Linux From Scratch\u00bb \u2014 instrucciones para mejorar la seguridad de LFS, aplicaci\u00f3n de parches adicionales y restricciones;  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00abLFS Hints\u00bb \u2014 colecci\u00f3n de consejos adicionales con descripciones de soluciones alternativas para los pasos descritos en LFS y BLFS.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00abMultilib Linux From Scratch\u00bb \u2014 instrucciones para la instalaci\u00f3n de Multilib para ejecutar programas de 32 bits en entornos de 64 bits.\n<li class=\"l\">  \u00abGaming Linux From Scratch\u00bb \u2014 instrucciones para la instalaci\u00f3n de juegos de computadora y programas auxiliares, como Steam y Wine, en LFS.
