Se utiliza como base el sistema de paquetes Fedora Linux. Las compilaciones se generan para arquitecturas x86_64 y ARM64 (Aarch64). A pesar de su enfoque primordial en el uso en AWS (Amazon Web Services), la distribuci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n se ofrece en forma de una imagen universal de m\u00e1quina virtual que se puede ejecutar en un sistema local o en otros entornos en la nube.    <\/p>\n<p>Entre los cambios con respecto a la versi\u00f3n anterior, Amazon Linux 2023:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Al generar Amazon Linux 2027, se emplean componentes de Fedora 44 y 45, muchos paquetes incluyen modificaciones espec\u00edficas de Amazon Linux o se acompa\u00f1an por separado de Fedora.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha utilizado un n\u00facleo Linux propio, basado en la versi\u00f3n 7.1, que incluye nuevos controladores para dispositivos Elastic Network Adapter (ENA) y Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA), as\u00ed como hardware utilizado en la infraestructura de Amazon EC2. Las actualizaciones del n\u00facleo Linux se publican utilizando la tecnolog\u00eda de 'live patching', que permite corregir vulnerabilidades y aplicar ajustes cr\u00edticos al n\u00facleo sin reiniciar el sistema. Se ha habilitado la verificaci\u00f3n de los m\u00f3dulos del n\u00facleo mediante firma digital.\n<li class=\"l\"> Los paquetes se han recompilado con las opciones '-O2 -ftree-vectorize' y se han incluido optimizaciones en la fase de enlazado (LTO) para arquitecturas x86-64-v3 (-march=x86-64-v3, utilizando instrucciones AVX y AVX2) y ARM 8.2 (-march=armv8.2-a+crypto -mtune=neoverse-n1).\n<li class=\"l\"> Se han actualizado los componentes del sistema, incluyendo GCC 16.1, Clang\/LLVM 22, OpenSSH 9.9p1, OpenSSL 3.5, glibc 2.44, binutils 2.46, systemd 260, Python 3.14.\n<li class=\"l\">Para la gesti\u00f3n de paquetes, se utiliza por defecto el gestor de paquetes RPM 6.0 y la herramienta DNF5, cuya funcionalidad b\u00e1sica de gesti\u00f3n de paquetes se ha trasladado a una biblioteca separada, libdnf5, en lugar de depender de PackageKit, se utiliza DNF Daemon, y los componentes en Python se han reescrito en C++.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se han preparado retroportaciones con versiones de componentes del sistema optimizadas para procesadores ARM Graviton.\n<li class=\"l\"> Como implementaci\u00f3n de Java se utiliza Amazon Corretto.\n<li class=\"l\"> El sistema de control de acceso SELinux est\u00e1 configurado por defecto en modo 'enforcing' (en la versi\u00f3n anterior estaba en modo 'permissive').\n<li class=\"l\"> En OpenSSH, OpenSSL, GnuTLS y NSS, se ha habilitado por defecto el soporte para los algoritmos criptogr\u00e1ficos post-cu\u00e1nticos ML-DSA y SLH-DSA.\n<li class=\"l\"> Los paquetes coreutils, elinks, haproxy, httpd, libmemcached-awesome, libpq, nginx-awslc, python3-awscrt, python-cryptography, python3.14, rsync, socat, tpm2-tools, tpm2-tss, trousers y wget1 se han compilado con la biblioteca criptogr\u00e1fica AWS-LC en lugar de
