Los representantes de Google publicaron hoy su informe anual sobre seguridad y privacidad. Se destaca que, a pesar del aumento en la descarga de aplicaciones potencialmente peligrosas, la situaci\u00f3n general del ecosistema Android ha mejorado.<\/p>\n

La proporci\u00f3n de programas peligrosos descargados en Google Play en 2017 aument\u00f3 del 0,02 % al 0,04 % durante el per\u00edodo analizado. Al excluir de las estad\u00edsticas los casos de fraudes por clics, se puede observar una disminuci\u00f3n significativa en el n\u00famero de descargas potencialmente peligrosas. El informe tambi\u00e9n menciona que la empresa enfrenta el reto de proteger m\u00e1s de 2 mil millones de dispositivos que operan bajo Android. Se se\u00f1ala que el sistema de inteligencia artificial Google Play Protect, creado en 2017 y capaz de escanear m\u00e1s de 50 mil millones de aplicaciones diariamente, ha contribuido significativamente al proceso de mejora de la seguridad de los usuarios. El sistema seguir\u00e1 siendo utilizado en adelante, convirti\u00e9ndose en una herramienta cada vez m\u00e1s avanzada en la lucha contra el software malicioso. Es importante destacar la disminuci\u00f3n general en el n\u00famero de instalaciones de aplicaciones peligrosas. En 2018, este indicador fue del 0,45 % del total, mientras que el a\u00f1o anterior era del 0,56 %.<\/p>\n

A pesar de los esfuerzos realizados para proteger los dispositivos Android, el malware sigue apareciendo en Google Play, cambiando de editor y de nombre. No es raro que una aplicaci\u00f3n peligrosa sea bloqueada solo despu\u00e9s de que millones de usuarios la hayan descargado.
