El Consejo Consultivo Externo de Tecnolog\u00eda Avanzada (ATEAC), formado a finales de marzo para abordar cuestiones \u00e9ticas en inteligencia artificial, dur\u00f3 solo unos pocos d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

La raz\u00f3n fue una petici\u00f3n que exig\u00eda la destituci\u00f3n de uno de los miembros del consejo. La presidenta de la organizaci\u00f3n Heritage Foundation, Kay Coles James, ha expresado en varias ocasiones comentarios despectivos hacia las minor\u00edas sexuales, lo que provoc\u00f3 un considerable descontento entre sus subordinados. La petici\u00f3n fue firmada por cientos de empleados de Google. El malestar continu\u00f3 creciendo, por lo que se decidi\u00f3 disolver el consejo de \u00e9tica de IA. En un comunicado oficial, Google indic\u00f3 que actualmente ATEAC no puede llevar a cabo sus actividades seg\u00fan lo planeado, por lo que se cesar\u00e1 su funcionamiento. La empresa seguir\u00e1 siendo responsable de las decisiones tomadas en el \u00e1mbito de la IA, y a\u00fan queda por determinar c\u00f3mo se podr\u00e1n establecer canales de comunicaci\u00f3n con el p\u00fablico para discutir problemas importantes.       <\/p>\n

Recordemos que el consejo de \u00e9tica de IA deb\u00eda abordar diversas cuestiones y tomar decisiones relacionadas con los desarrollos de Google en este campo. A pesar de la disoluci\u00f3n del consejo, Google continuar\u00e1 trabajando para hacer que el \u00e1mbito de la inteligencia artificial sea m\u00e1s transparente y accesible. No se descarta que en el futuro la empresa intente organizar un nuevo comit\u00e9 encargado de abordar problemas relacionados con la \u00e9tica en IA, el uso de tecnolog\u00edas de inteligencia artificial con fines militares, entre otros.<\/p>\n
