La empresa Mozilla ha lanzado la primera versi\u00f3n beta p\u00fablica de Firefox para computadoras basadas en chips Qualcomm Snapdragon y el sistema operativo Windows 10. Se trata de port\u00e1tiles, por lo que ahora la lista de programas para estos dispositivos se ha ampliado un poco.<\/p>\n

Se espera que el navegador pase de la fase beta a la versi\u00f3n final en los pr\u00f3ximos dos meses, es decir, a principios del verano, los usuarios podr\u00e1n aprovecharlo.<\/p>\n

Cabe destacar que estos port\u00e1tiles se caracterizan por su bajo consumo energ\u00e9tico, resultado del uso de un procesador con arquitectura ARM. Seg\u00fan Chuck Harmston, gerente senior de productos de Mozilla para el proyecto Firefox ARM, el principal objetivo de los desarrolladores es minimizar el consumo energ\u00e9tico del navegador en todos los aspectos. La empresa no proporciona ning\u00fan dato comparativo, por lo que es dif\u00edcil evaluar en qu\u00e9 medida la versi\u00f3n ARM del navegador supera a las compilaciones para x86 y x86-64.<\/p>\n
