Este a\u00f1o en las elecciones <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.debian.org\/vote\/2019\/vote_001\">participaron<\/a><\/noindex> cuatro candidatos al puesto de l\u00edder. La victoria fue para Sam Hartman (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.debian.org\/vote\/2019\/platforms\/hartmans\">Sam Hartman<\/a><\/noindex>).<\/p>\n<p>Sam se uni\u00f3 al proyecto en 2000 y comenz\u00f3 su participaci\u00f3n prepar\u00e1ndose paquetes con Kerberos. M\u00e1s tarde se ocup\u00f3 del mantenimiento y creaci\u00f3n de paquetes relacionados con la encriptaci\u00f3n. En su trabajo principal, Sam particip\u00f3 en el desarrollo de Kerberos y trabajado en el proyecto <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/community.jisc.ac.uk\/groups\/moonshot\">Moonshot<\/a><\/noindex> utiliz\u00f3 Debian como plataforma para probar la implementaci\u00f3n de nuevos mecanismos de seguridad en sistemas operativos. Entre otros, Sam ocup\u00f3 durante varios a\u00f1os el puesto de Chief Technologist en el MIT Kerberos Consortium y fue director de seguridad en <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ietf.org\/\">IETF<\/a><\/noindex> (Internet Engineering Taskforce). Entre sus intereses personales se destaca la DJing, siendo que Sam desarrolla su propio software para DJs.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los principales objetivos que el nuevo l\u00edder tratar\u00e1 de alcanzar se menciona la creaci\u00f3n de condiciones para que las personas disfruten de dedicar su tiempo a participar en la vida de Debian. Para lograr este objetivo, se planea simplificar, hacer eficientes y comprensibles los procesos y las interacciones, aumentar la atractividad del proyecto para nuevos participantes, asegurar el mantenimiento de un ambiente amigable en la comunidad y el entendimiento mutuo, independientemente de las decisiones finales tomadas y la aprobaci\u00f3n o rechazo de ciertas
