En OpenBSD se ha a\u00f1adido<\/a><\/noindex> herramienta sysupgrade<\/a><\/noindex>, dise\u00f1ada para actualizar autom\u00e1ticamente el sistema a una nueva versi\u00f3n o instant\u00e1nea de la rama CURRENT.<\/p>\n

Sysupgrade descarga los archivos necesarios para la actualizaci\u00f3n, los verifica mediante signify<\/a><\/noindex>, copia bsd.rd (un ramdisk especial que funciona completamente en la memoria RAM, utilizado para instalar, actualizar y restaurar el sistema) a bsd.upgrade e inicia el reinicio del sistema. El gestor de arranque, al detectar la presencia de bsd.upgrade, comienza su carga autom\u00e1tica (puede ser cancelada por el usuario) y la actualizaci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica del sistema a la versi\u00f3n previamente descargada.<\/p>\n

Ya se puede utilizar sysupgrade para la actualizaci\u00f3n autom\u00e1tica a las instant\u00e1neas diarias actuales de CURRENT, y a partir de la versi\u00f3n OpenBSD 6.6 se prev\u00e9 su uso para actualizar de una versi\u00f3n a otra. Antes de la llegada de sysupgrade, estas acciones deb\u00edan realizarse manualmente o automatizarse de forma independiente.<\/p>\n

Para instalar actualizaciones de seguridad y correcciones de errores en las versiones estables de OpenBSD, todav\u00eda se recomienda utilizar la utilidad syspatch<\/a><\/noindex>, que aplica parches binarios de correcci\u00f3n al sistema base.<\/p>\n
