El 21 de mayo, en el blog de la distribuci\u00f3n Antergos, el equipo de creadores anunci\u00f3 la interrupci\u00f3n del trabajo en el proyecto. Seg\u00fan los desarrolladores, en los \u00faltimos meses apenas tuvieron tiempo para mantener Antergos, y dejarlo en un estado semiabandonado ser\u00eda una falta de respeto hacia la comunidad de usuarios. No se tomaron m\u00e1s tiempo para decidir, ya que el c\u00f3digo del proyecto est\u00e1 en estado operativo y cualquier persona puede aprovechar todo lo que considere \u00fatil en este momento.<\/p>\n

Debido a este triste evento, los usuarios de Antergos no deben preocuparse por la funcionalidad de sus sistemas. Los nuevos paquetes de Arch Linux continuar\u00e1n llegando de manera tradicional, y en los repositorios propios de Antergos pronto aparecer\u00e1 una actualizaci\u00f3n que los desactiva y elimina todo el software espec\u00edfico de la distribuci\u00f3n. Algunas de las paqueter\u00edas ya est\u00e1n en AUR, por lo que los usuarios podr\u00e1n actualizarse all\u00ed. Al final, la instalaci\u00f3n de Antergos se convertir\u00e1 simplemente en un Arch Linux com\u00fan.<\/p>\n

Los desarrolladores de Antergos agradecen a todos los que utilizaron el proyecto durante los \u00faltimos cinco a\u00f1os y consideran que durante este tiempo lograron su objetivo inicial: hacer que Arch Linux sea m\u00e1s accesible para una audiencia m\u00e1s amplia y organizar una comunidad amigable a su alrededor.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan las estad\u00edsticas del proyecto, desde 2014 las im\u00e1genes de la distribuci\u00f3n han sido descargadas casi un mill\u00f3n de veces. En la lista del sitio DistroWatch, Antergos ocupa actualmente el puesto 18.<\/p>\n
