Entre los planes m\u00e1s inmediatos se encuentra la sustituci\u00f3n de &#171;Skype for Business&#187; por una soluci\u00f3n basada en un stack de VoIP de c\u00f3digo abierto y el lanzamiento de un servicio de correo local para dejar de utilizar Outlook. <\/p>\n<p>La elecci\u00f3n final de las alternativas abiertas a\u00fan no se ha completado, se planea finalizar la migraci\u00f3n en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os. Entre los principales requisitos para el nuevo software se destaca la ausencia de vinculaci\u00f3n a un proveedor, el control total sobre los propios datos y la aplicaci\u00f3n de soluciones est\u00e1ndar. Se prev\u00e9 anunciar m\u00e1s detalles sobre el proyecto el 10 de septiembre.<\/p>\n<p>La decisi\u00f3n de migrar a software de c\u00f3digo abierto se tom\u00f3 tras la modificaci\u00f3n de la pol\u00edtica de licencias de Microsoft, que durante los \u00faltimos 20 a\u00f1os proporcion\u00f3 al CERN software con descuentos significativos para instituciones educativas. Recientemente, Microsoft retir\u00f3 al CERN el estatus de instituci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica y, tras la finalizaci\u00f3n del contrato vigente, el CERN deber\u00e1 pagar el costo total en funci\u00f3n del n\u00famero de usuarios. El c\u00e1lculo mostr\u00f3 que los gastos en la compra de licencias, bajo la nueva situaci\u00f3n, aumentar\u00edan m\u00e1s de 10 veces.<\/p>\n<p><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\"
