La biblioteca se desarrolla en el proceso de portar aplicaciones GNOME al entorno de usuario del smartphone Librem 5.<br \/>\nC\u00f3digo del proyecto <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/source.puri.sm\/Librem5\/libhandy\">se distribuye<\/a><\/noindex> bajo la licencia GPL 2.1+. Adem\u00e1s del soporte para aplicaciones en C, la biblioteca tambi\u00e9n se puede utilizar para crear versiones m\u00f3viles de la interfaz de aplicaciones en Python, Rust y Vala.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, la biblioteca incluye <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/honk.sigxcpu.org\/projects\/libhandy\/doc\/\">incluye<\/a><\/noindex> 24 widgets que abarcan diversos elementos t\u00edpicos de la interfaz, como listas, paneles, bloques de edici\u00f3n, botones, pesta\u00f1as, formularios de b\u00fasqueda, cuadros de di\u00e1logo, etc. Los widgets propuestos permiten crear interfaces vers\u00e1tiles que funcionan de manera fluida tanto en pantallas grandes de PC y laptops como en las peque\u00f1as pantallas t\u00e1ctiles de los smartphones. El software del smartphone Librem 5 se basa en la distribuci\u00f3n PureOS, que utiliza la base de paquetes Debian, el escritorio GNOME y una shell GNOME adaptada para smartphones. El uso de libhandy permite, al conectar el smartphone a un monitor, obtener un escritorio GNOME t\u00edpico basado en un conjunto \u00fanico de aplicaciones. Entre las aplicaciones portadas a libhandy se destacan: GNOME Calls (Marcador), gnome-bluetooth, GNOME Settings, GNOME Web, Phosh (Marcador), Daty, PasswordSafe, Unifydmin, Fractal, Podcasts, GNOME Contacts y GNOME Games. <\/p>\n<p>Libhandy 0.0.10 es la \u00faltima versi\u00f3n preliminar antes de la formaci\u00f3n de un lanzamiento significativo 1.0. En esta nueva versi\u00f3n se presentan varios widgets nuevos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">    <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/honk.sigxcpu.org\/projects\/libhandy\/doc\/HdyViewSwitcher.html\">HdyViewSwitcher<\/a><\/noindex> \u2014 reemplazo adaptativo del widget GtkStackSwitcher, que permite formar autom\u00e1ticamente la disposici\u00f3n de las pesta\u00f1as (vistas) seg\u00fan el ancho de la pantalla. En pantallas grandes, los \u00edconos y los encabezados se colocan en una sola l\u00ednea, mientras que en pantallas peque\u00f1as se utiliza un dise\u00f1o compacto donde el encabezado se muestra debajo del \u00edcono. Para almacenar el historial se emplea una base de datos SQLite. Se a\u00f1adi\u00f3 la posibilidad de verificaci\u00f3n de cuenta, que ahora se verifica a trav\u00e9s de una conexi\u00f3n con el servidor, y en caso de falla se muestra una advertencia;\n<li class=\"l\"> En el cliente XMPP se implement\u00f3 el soporte para el intercambio de mensajes cifrados utilizando el plugin <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/gkdr\/lurch\">Lurch<\/a><\/noindex> con la implementaci\u00f3n del mecanismo de cifrado de extremo a extremo <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/conversations.im\/omemo\/\">OMEMO<\/a><\/noindex>. En la barra se a\u00f1adi\u00f3 un indicador especial que se\u00f1ala si se est\u00e1 utilizando cifrado en el chat actual o no.
