En la conferencia CppCon 2019, representantes de Microsoft anunciaron la apertura del c\u00f3digo de la biblioteca est\u00e1ndar de C++ (STL, C++ Standard Library), que forma parte de la herramienta MSVC y del entorno de desarrollo Visual Studio. Esta biblioteca ofrece funcionalidades descritas en los est\u00e1ndares C++14 y C++17. Adem\u00e1s, se est\u00e1 desarrollando con miras a soportar el est\u00e1ndar C++20. <\/p>\n

Microsoft ha liberado el c\u00f3digo de la biblioteca bajo la licencia Apache 2.0, con excepciones para archivos binarios que abordan el problema de incluir bibliotecas de tiempo de ejecuci\u00f3n en los archivos ejecutables generados. <\/p>\n

Este paso permitir\u00e1 a la comunidad utilizar en otros proyectos implementaciones listas de las funcionalidades de los nuevos est\u00e1ndares.
