Seg\u00fan informes de fuentes de la red, miles de computadoras que operan con Windows han sido infectadas por un nuevo tipo de malware que descarga e instala una copia de la infraestructura de Node.js, convirtiendo los sistemas infectados en servidores proxy utilizados para llevar a cabo operaciones fraudulentas.<\/p>\n

Los programas maliciosos, llamados Nodersok en el informe de Microsoft y Divergent en el informe de Cisco Talos, fueron descubiertos en el verano de este a\u00f1o. Se propagaron a trav\u00e9s de publicidad maliciosa, que se utiliz\u00f3 para forzar la descarga de archivos HTML Application en las computadoras. Los usuarios que ejecutaron estos archivos en sus PC iniciaron un proceso de infecci\u00f3n en m\u00faltiples etapas utilizando scripts de Excel, JavaScript y PowerShell, lo que finalmente llev\u00f3 a la descarga e instalaci\u00f3n del malware Nodersok.    <\/p>\n

El propio malware contiene varios componentes destinados a cumplir diferentes objetivos. Por ejemplo, un m\u00f3dulo de PowerShell se utiliza para desactivar el Centro de Actualizaciones y la protecci\u00f3n est\u00e1ndar de Windows. Adem\u00e1s, hay un m\u00f3dulo utilizado para aumentar los privilegios del malware en el sistema. Sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n hay aplicaciones leg\u00edtimas en su conjunto: WinDivert y Node.js. La primera herramienta se utiliza para capturar e interactuar con paquetes de red, mientras que la segunda permite ejecutar JavaScript en servidores web.<\/p>\n

Los informes de Microsoft y Cisco indican que el malware utiliza dos aplicaciones leg\u00edtimas para ejecutar proxiesservidores<\/a> en las m\u00e1quinas infectadas. Seg\u00fan Microsoft, el malware convierte los nodos infectados en proxiesservidores<\/a> para transmitir tr\u00e1fico malicioso. El informe de Cisco se\u00f1ala que los servidores proxy se utilizan para realizar actos fraudulentos.<\/p>\n

Para prevenir la infecci\u00f3n, los especialistas recomiendan no ejecutar archivos HTML Application que se encuentren en los PC, especialmente si su origen es desconocido.
