Se ha descubierto una vulnerabilidad en el comando Sudo (super user do) para Linux. La explotaci\u00f3n de esta vulnerabilidad permite a los usuarios o programas sin privilegios ejecutar comandos con permisos de superusuario. Se se\u00f1ala que la vulnerabilidad afecta a sistemas con configuraciones no est\u00e1ndar y no afecta a la mayor\u00eda de los servidores que operan bajo Linux.<\/p>\n

\"Una<\/p>\n

La vulnerabilidad se presenta en casos donde se utilizan configuraciones de Sudo que permiten ejecutar comandos en nombre de otros usuarios. Adem\u00e1s, Sudo puede configurarse de una manera especial, permitiendo ejecutar comandos en nombre de otros usuarios, a excepci\u00f3n del superusuario. Para ello, es necesario realizar los ajustes correspondientes en el archivo de configuraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

La esencia del problema radica en c\u00f3mo Sudo maneja los identificadores de usuario. Si ingresas en la l\u00ednea de comandos el identificador de usuario -1 o su equivalente 4294967295, el comando ejecutado puede ejecutarse con permisos de superusuario. Dado que estos identificadores de usuario no figuran en la base de datos de contrase\u00f1as, no se requerir\u00e1 introducir una contrase\u00f1a para ejecutar el comando.<\/p>\n

Para reducir la probabilidad de problemas relacionados con esta vulnerabilidad, se recomienda a los usuarios actualizar Sudo lo antes posible a la versi\u00f3n 1.8.28 o superior. En el comunicado se indica que en la nueva versi\u00f3n de Sudo, el par\u00e1metro -1 ya no se utiliza como identificador de usuario. Esto significa que los atacantes no podr\u00e1n aprovechar esta vulnerabilidad.  <\/p>\n
