Despu\u00e9s de un a\u00f1o de desarrollo publicado<\/a><\/noindex> lanzamiento del proyecto Stratis 2.0<\/a><\/noindex>, desarrollado por Red Hat y la comunidad de Fedora para unificar y simplificar las herramientas de configuraci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n de un conjunto de uno o varios dispositivos de almacenamiento locales. Stratis ofrece funciones como la asignaci\u00f3n din\u00e1mica de espacio de almacenamiento, instant\u00e1neas, garant\u00eda de integridad y creaci\u00f3n de capas para almacenamiento en cach\u00e9. El c\u00f3digo del proyecto est\u00e1 escrito en Rust y se distribuye<\/a><\/noindex> bajo la licencia MPL 2.0.<\/p>\n

El sistema en gran medida replica las capacidades de las avanzadas herramientas de gesti\u00f3n de particiones ZFS y Btrfs, pero se implementa en forma de una capa (demonio stratisd<\/a><\/noindex>), que funciona sobre la subcapa device-mapper del n\u00facleo de Linux (se utilizan m\u00f3dulos dm-thin, dm-cache, dm-thinpool, dm-raid y dm-integrity) y el sistema de archivos XFS. A diferencia de ZFS y Btrfs, los componentes de Stratis funcionan solo en el espacio de usuario y no requieren la carga de m\u00f3dulos espec\u00edficos del n\u00facleo. El proyecto se presenta originalmente como no requiere<\/a><\/noindex> cualificaci\u00f3n de experto en sistemas de almacenamiento para su administraci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

Para la gesti\u00f3n se proporciona una API D-Bus y una utilidad cli<\/a><\/noindex>.
\nEl funcionamiento de Stratis ha sido probado con dispositivos de bloque basados en LUKS (particiones cifradas), mdraid, dm-multipath, iSCSI, vol\u00famenes l\u00f3gicos LVM, as\u00ed como con diversos discos duros, SSD y unidades NVMe. En el caso de que haya un solo disco en el conjunto, Stratis permite utilizar particiones l\u00f3gicas con soporte para instant\u00e1neas para revertir cambios. Al agregar varios dispositivos al conjunto, se abre la posibilidad de combinar los dispositivos en una \u00e1rea continua. Funciones como
\nRAID, compresi\u00f3n de datos, deduplicaci\u00f3n y organizaci\u00f3n de tolerancia a fallos a\u00fan no son compatibles, pero est\u00e1n planeadas para el futuro.<\/p>\n

En nuevo<\/a><\/noindex> lanzamiento<\/a><\/noindex> se han aumentado los requisitos de versi\u00f3n del compilador Rust (m\u00ednimo 1.37, pero se recomienda 1.38). El cambio significativo en el n\u00famero de versi\u00f3n est\u00e1 relacionado con el cambio de nombre de algunas interfaces D-Bus y la reestructuraci\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n del trabajo con D-Bus (se ha definido un conjunto de propiedades fundamentales primarias, y las dem\u00e1s propiedades ahora se solicitan mediante el nuevo m\u00e9todo FetchProperties).<\/p>\n
