Para el sistema de archivos btrfs se presenta<\/a><\/noindex> implementaci\u00f3n as\u00edncrona de la operaci\u00f3n DISCARD (marcado de bloques liberados que ya no se necesita almacenar f\u00edsicamente), desarrollada por los ingenieros de Facebook.<\/p>\n

El problema radica en que en la implementaci\u00f3n original, DISCARD se ejecuta de manera sincr\u00f3nica con otras operaciones, lo que en ciertos casos puede causar problemas de rendimiento, ya que se debe esperar a que las operaciones correspondientes sean concluidas por los dispositivos de almacenamiento, requiriendo tiempo adicional. Esto puede convertirse en un inconveniente si la implementaci\u00f3n de DISCARD en el dispositivo es lenta. <\/p>\n

Con la implementaci\u00f3n as\u00edncrona, no es necesario esperar a que el dispositivo complete DISCARD durante la operaci\u00f3n normal del sistema de archivos, lo que elimina el problema y convierte esta operaci\u00f3n en un proceso en segundo plano. La implementaci\u00f3n presentada tambi\u00e9n realiza algunas optimizaciones.
