En GNU Mes se sugiere<\/a><\/noindex> un int\u00e9rprete autosuficiente (self-hosting) para el lenguaje Scheme, escrito en C, y un compilador b\u00e1sico para el lenguaje C (MesCC), escrito en Scheme. Ambos componentes son auto-construibles. El int\u00e9rprete Scheme permite construir el compilador C MesCC, que a su vez permite construir una versi\u00f3n reducida del compilador TinyCC<\/a><\/noindex> (tcc), cuya funcionalidad ya es suficiente para compilar GCC. <\/p>\n
