El 8 de marzo se llev\u00f3 a cabo una actualizaci\u00f3n del sistema de almacenamiento en cach\u00e9 de datos en la memoria RAM. Memcached<\/strong> a la versi\u00f3n 1.6.0<\/strong>. La principal diferencia con respecto a las versiones anteriores es que ahora es posible utilizar un dispositivo externo para el almacenamiento de datos en cach\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Memcached<\/strong> se utiliza para acelerar el rendimiento de sitios web o aplicaciones web de alta carga mediante el almacenamiento en cach\u00e9 del acceso a la base de datos y a datos intermedios.<\/p>\n

En la nueva versi\u00f3n, el par\u00e1metro extstore<\/strong>, que es responsable del uso de dispositivos externos. Para desactivar esta funci\u00f3n, se debe especificar en .\\\/configure el par\u00e1metro \u2014disable-extstore. Sin embargo, a pesar de que est\u00e1 habilitado por defecto, al iniciar se debe indicar expl\u00edcitamente el uso de esta funci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Extstore<\/strong> permite utilizar Flash<\/strong> o SSD<\/strong> un dispositivo de almacenamiento para aumentar el tama\u00f1o de la cach\u00e9. Esto permitir\u00e1 almacenar en cach\u00e9 vol\u00famenes de datos mucho mayores que sin el uso de esta funci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Otra de las importantes novedades es la reestructuraci\u00f3n de la interacci\u00f3n en red, que ahora est\u00e1 adaptada para el procesamiento autom\u00e1tico de peticiones en bloque en un solo llamado del sistema. En versiones anteriores, el procesamiento de cada solicitud GET se enviaba en un paquete separado, mientras que en la nueva versi\u00f3n las respuestas a m\u00faltiples solicitudes se agrupan en un metapaquete y se env\u00edan de una vez. Como resultado de esta novedad, la carga en la CPU se ha reducido en un 25%.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, como resultado de esta modernizaci\u00f3n, se ha reducido el consumo de memoria para el almacenamiento en b\u00fafer \u2014 de 4.5 Kb a 400-500 bytes por llamada, y se ha reducido el uso de funciones malloc, realloc y free, lo que ha llevado a una menor fragmentaci\u00f3n de memoria. Cada hilo ahora maneja su propio grupo de b\u00faferes para la lectura y escritura en conexiones activas. Se han previsto las opciones -o resp_obj_mem_limit=N y -o read_buf_mem_limit=N para ajustar el tama\u00f1o de estos b\u00faferes.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n se ha anunciado la transici\u00f3n a la categor\u00eda de \u00abobsoletos\u00bb del protocolo binario de intercambio con el servidor. Este ha sido reemplazado por el protocolo meta \u2014 una versi\u00f3n textual del protocolo con comandos meta compactos. En el nuevo protocolo se han incorporado todas las operaciones disponibles anteriormente que utilizaban las versiones antiguas del protocolo binario.<\/p>\n
