Como se suele decir, GNU\/Linux es excelente porque permite configurar una interfaz similar a Windows, as\u00ed como crear algo inusual y no est\u00e1ndar.<\/p>\n

Para los amantes de lo \u00abretro\u00bb, hay una buena noticia: hacer que tu computadora se asemeje a aquellos viejos y c\u00e1lidos computadoras de v\u00e1lvulas de principios de los a\u00f1os 90 se ha vuelto a\u00fan m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil.<\/p>\n

Un Entorno de Escritorio No Tan Com\u00fan<\/strong>, o abreviado NsCDE<\/strong> \u2014 esta es la versi\u00f3n moderna de un entorno old school muy conocido, CDE, que durante mucho tiempo se consider\u00f3 cl\u00e1sico para sistemas operativos similares a Unix.<\/p>\n

CDE<\/strong> o Entorno de Escritorio Com\u00fan<\/strong> \u2014 este es un entorno de escritorio para Unix y OpenVMS, creado a partir del toolkit de widgets Motif. Durante mucho tiempo, CDE se consider\u00f3 el entorno \u00abcl\u00e1sico\u00bb para sistemas Unix. CDE fue durante mucho tiempo un software propietario y los c\u00f3digos fuente de este popular entorno de los a\u00f1os 90 fueron publicados por primera vez en agosto de 2012. Sin embargo, no representan ning\u00fan inter\u00e9s pr\u00e1ctico, ya que CDE se ha vuelto obsoleto de manera irreversible en t\u00e9rminos de sus capacidades y usabilidad.<\/p>\n

El proyecto se basa en FVWM<\/strong>, complementado con parches y extensiones necesarias para recrear la interfaz de CDE. Las configuraciones y parches est\u00e1n escritos en Python<\/strong> y Shell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Los desarrolladores ten\u00edan como objetivo crear un entorno de escritorio c\u00f3modo en estilo retro, que soporte software y tecnolog\u00edas modernas, y que no cause incomodidad al trabajar con \u00e9l. En el marco del desarrollo, se crearon generadores de temas de dise\u00f1o correspondientes para Xt, Xaw, Motif, GTK2, GTK3, Qt4 y Qt5, gracias a los cuales se ha hecho posible estilizar casi todos los programas modernos al estilo de CDE.<\/p>\n
