En el desarrollo de LibreOffice 7.0, uno de los cambios m\u00e1s importantes fue la adopci\u00f3n de la biblioteca Skia de Google, as\u00ed como el soporte para el renderizado con Vulkan. Esta biblioteca se utiliza para dibujar la interfaz de usuario y para el renderizado de texto. La funcionalidad est\u00e1 disponible en Windows y Linux. No se han reportado detalles sobre macOS.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan Lubo\u0161 Lu\u0148\u00e1k de Collabora, el c\u00f3digo basado en Cairo es excesivamente complejo. Usar Skia es m\u00e1s sencillo, incluso considerando el parche necesario para que Skia utilice FcPattern para la selecci\u00f3n de fuentes.<\/p>\n

Se ha se\u00f1alado que el renderizado de texto para Linux y Windows con Skia necesita mejoras, por lo que no est\u00e1 claro si este m\u00e9todo se usar\u00e1 por defecto en LibreOffice 7.0, que se lanzar\u00e1 a principios de agosto. No se descarta que esto permanezca como una opci\u00f3n, aunque la situaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda cambiar en el futuro.<\/p>\n

En general, se esperan muchas mejoras en la s\u00e9ptima versi\u00f3n. Entre ellas se destaca el procesamiento r\u00e1pido de archivos XLSX, mejoras en el rendimiento, soporte para escalado HiDPI para Qt5, y mejoras en la interfaz de usuario. As\u00ed, el mejor paquete de oficina gratuito sigue evolucionando.<\/p>\n

Recordemos que anteriormente sali\u00f3<\/a><\/noindex> la versi\u00f3n 6.3, que recibi\u00f3 mejoras en la compatibilidad con formatos propietarios. Tendr\u00e1 soporte hasta el 29 de mayo de 2020.  <\/p>\n
