El programa analiza varios sitios web, foros y redes sociales en busca del nombre de usuario deseado, es decir, permite determinar en qu\u00e9 sitios hay un usuario con el apodo especificado. Lanzamiento <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/snooppr\/snoop\/master\/changelog.txt\">se destaca<\/a><\/noindex> extendiendo la base de recursos verificados a <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/snooppr\/snoop\/blob\/master\/sites.md\">666 sitios web<\/a><\/noindex>, muchos de los cuales son en ruso. Compilaciones <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/snooppr\/snoop\/releases\">preparadas<\/a><\/noindex> para Linux y Windows. El c\u00f3digo est\u00e1 escrito en Python y <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/snooppr\/snoop\">se distribuye<\/a><\/noindex> bajo licencia MIT.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto es una bifurcaci\u00f3n de la base de c\u00f3digo del proyecto <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/sherlock-project\/sherlock\">Sherlock<\/a><\/noindex>, con algunas mejoras y cambios:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> La base de Snoop es tres veces m\u00e1s grande que la base de Sherlock (Kali Linux) y dos veces m\u00e1s grande que la base de Sherlock en Github.\n<li class=\"l\"> Snoop tiene menos errores de falsos positivos, que son comunes en todas las herramientas similares (ejemplo comparativo Websites Ebay), cambios en el algoritmo de funcionamiento.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nuevas opciones y eliminaci\u00f3n de opciones obsoletas.\n<li class=\"l\"> Soporte para clasificaci\u00f3n y formato HTML.\n<li class=\"l\"> Salida informativa mejorada.\n<\/ul>\n<p>La herramienta est\u00e1 adaptada tambi\u00e9n para la b\u00fasqueda en el segmento de habla rusa, lo que representa una gran ventaja en comparaci\u00f3n con herramientas OSINT similares. Inicialmente, se planeaba una enorme actualizaci\u00f3n de la base del proyecto Sherlock en lo que respecta a los pa\u00edses de la CEI, pero en alg\u00fan momento Sherlock cambi\u00f3 de rumbo y dej\u00f3 de aceptar actualizaciones (despu\u00e9s de aproximadamente 1\/3 de la actualizaci\u00f3n de toda la base), explicando esta situaci\u00f3n como una \"reestructuraci\u00f3n\" del proyecto y la aproximaci\u00f3n al l\u00edmite de los recursos en su base de datos de sitios. Este rechazo sirvi\u00f3 de motivo para la creaci\u00f3n de un fork.
