AMD ha anunciado oficialmente que a partir del 31 de marzo cesar\u00e1 el soporte para la tecnolog\u00eda StoreMI, que permite combinar discos duros y unidades de estado s\u00f3lido en un solo volumen l\u00f3gico. La compa\u00f1\u00eda tambi\u00e9n prometi\u00f3 presentar una nueva versi\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda con funciones mejoradas en el segundo trimestre de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

La tecnolog\u00eda StoreMI fue presentada junto con los procesadores Ryzen de la serie 2000 (Pinnacle Ridge) y los correspondientes chipsets de la serie 400. Posteriormente, AMD a\u00f1adi\u00f3 soporte para el chipset X399 para Ryzen Threadripper, y m\u00e1s tarde, los procesadores Ryzen de la serie 3000 (Matisse) y la l\u00f3gica del sistema X570.<\/p>\n

Esta tecnolog\u00eda no solo permite combinar discos duros y unidades de estado s\u00f3lido en un solo volumen l\u00f3gico, sino que tambi\u00e9n proporciona ventajas de alta velocidad. Esto se logra a trav\u00e9s de un software que analiza los datos, identifica los m\u00e1s usados y los almacena en un dispositivo m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido. Los desarrolladores de AMD afirman que usar StoreMI puede hacer que el arranque de Windows sea 2.3 veces m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido. En cuanto a aplicaciones y juegos, se acelera la carga en 9.8 y 2.9 veces respectivamente.<\/p>\n

A partir del 31 de marzo, el software StoreMI ya no estar\u00e1 disponible para su descarga. Los usuarios que hayan descargado StoreMI podr\u00e1n continuar utilizando la tecnolog\u00eda de combinaci\u00f3n de discos. Sin embargo, los desarrolladores advierten que los recursos de la empresa se redirigir\u00e1n para crear un reemplazo, por lo que no se proporcionar\u00e1 soporte t\u00e9cnico para la versi\u00f3n actual del software. AMD tambi\u00e9n desaconseja descargar StoreMI de fuentes externas, ya que en ese caso no se puede garantizar la seguridad de la descarga.
