Publicado<\/a><\/noindex> Las versiones correctivas del sistema distribuido de control de versiones Git 2.26.2, 2.25.4, 2.24.3, 2.23.3, 2.22.4, 2.21.3, 2.20.4, 2.19.5, 2.18.4 y 2.17.5, en las que se ha eliminado vulnerabilidad<\/a><\/noindex> (CVE-2020-11008<\/a><\/noindex>), similar a el problema<\/a><\/noindex>, resuelta la semana pasada. La nueva vulnerabilidad tambi\u00e9n afecta a los manejadores «credential.helper» y se explota al transmitir una URL especialmente formateada que contiene un car\u00e1cter de nueva l\u00ednea, un host vac\u00edo o un esquema de solicitud no especificado. Al procesar tal URL, credential.helper env\u00eda informaci\u00f3n de credenciales que no corresponde al protocolo o host solicitado.<\/p>\n

A diferencia del problema anterior, al explotar esta nueva vulnerabilidad, el atacante no puede controlar directamente el host desde el cual se enviar\u00e1n las credenciales ajenas. Las credenciales que se filtren dependen de las peculiaridades del manejo del par\u00e1metro faltante «host» en credential.helper. El n\u00facleo del problema es que los campos vac\u00edos en la URL son interpretados por muchos manejadores de credential.helper como instrucciones para aplicar cualquier credencial existente a la solicitud actual. Por lo tanto, credential.helper puede enviar credenciales almacenadas para otro servidor al servidor del atacante especificado en la URL. <\/p>\n

El problema se manifiesta al realizar operaciones como «git clone» y «git fetch», pero es m\u00e1s peligroso al gestionar subm\u00f3dulos — al ejecutar «git submodule update» se procesan autom\u00e1ticamente las URL definidas en el archivo .gitmodules del repositorio. Como soluci\u00f3n para bloquear el problema se recomienda<\/a><\/noindex> no usar credential.helper al acceder a repositorios p\u00fablicos y no aplicar «git clone» en modo «—recurse-submodules» con repositorios no verificados. <\/p>\n

Las versiones nuevas de Git la correcci\u00f3n<\/a><\/noindex> proh\u00edben llamar a credential.helper para URL que contengan valores inusuales<\/a><\/noindex> (por ejemplo, al especificar tres barras en lugar de dos — «http:\/\/host» o sin el esquema de protocolo — «http::ftp.example.com»). El problema afecta a los manejadores store (almacenamiento integrado de credenciales de Git), cache (cach\u00e9 integrado de credenciales ingresadas) y osxkeychain (almacenamiento para macOS). El manejador Git Credential Manager (almacenamiento para Windows) no es vulnerable.<\/p>\n
