Han pasado dos a\u00f1os desde la \u00faltima versi\u00f3n presentado<\/a><\/noindex> lanzamiento del cliente para mensajer\u00eda instant\u00e1nea Pidgin 2.14<\/a><\/noindex>, que es compatible con redes como XMPP, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, ICQ, IRC y Novell GroupWise. La interfaz gr\u00e1fica de Pidgin est\u00e1 hecha con la biblioteca GTK+ y soporta caracter\u00edsticas como una libreta de direcciones unificada, trabajo simult\u00e1neo en m\u00faltiples redes, una interfaz basada en pesta\u00f1as, soporte para avatares e integraci\u00f3n con el \u00e1rea de notificaciones de Windows, GNOME y KDE. El soporte para la conexi\u00f3n de complementos permite ampliar f\u00e1cilmente la funcionalidad de Pidgin, y la implementaci\u00f3n del soporte b\u00e1sico de protocolos en una biblioteca separada llamada libpurple permite crear implementaciones propias basadas en las tecnolog\u00edas de Pidgin (por ejemplo, Adium para macOS).<\/p>\n
