La empresa Canonical ha presentado<\/a><\/noindex> iniciado hace varios a\u00f1os Ubuntu Appliance<\/a><\/noindex>, que comenz\u00f3 la publicaci\u00f3n de compilaciones completamente configuradas de Ubuntu, optimizadas para un despliegue r\u00e1pido de manejadores de servidor listos en Raspberry Pi o PC. Actualmente se ofrecen compilaciones para ejecutar almacenamiento en la nube y plataformas de colaboraci\u00f3n NextCloud<\/a><\/noindex>, corredor MQTT Mosquitto<\/a><\/noindex>, servidor multimedia Plex<\/a><\/noindex>, plataforma de automatizaci\u00f3n del hogar OpenHAB<\/a><\/noindex> y servidor DNS filtrador de publicidad AdGuard<\/a><\/noindex>. Las compilaciones permiten convertir cualquier PC o placa Raspberry Pi en un sistema servidor que resuelve tareas espec\u00edficas, con actualizaciones y mantenimiento realizados autom\u00e1ticamente.<\/p>\n

Las compilaciones est\u00e1n basadas en Ubuntu Core<\/a><\/noindex> y paquetes snap tem\u00e1ticos preconfigurados. Ubuntu Core es una versi\u00f3n compacta de la distribuci\u00f3n Ubuntu, que utiliza un modelo de construcci\u00f3n monol\u00edtica de la imagen del sistema base en lugar de paquetes deb tradicionales, sobre la cual se ejecutan extensiones autosuficientes en formato snap. La plataforma implementa un mecanismo de actualizaci\u00f3n at\u00f3mica de paquetes snap y del sistema base. Para garantizar la seguridad, cada componente del sistema se verifica mediante una firma digital, lo que protege la distribuci\u00f3n de modificaciones ocultas o la instalaci\u00f3n de paquetes snap no verificados. Los componentes suministrados en formato Snap est\u00e1n aislados mediante AppArmor y Seccomp, y el sistema de archivos base se monta en modo de solo lectura. Se lanzan actualizaciones regularmente y se entregan por OTA (over-the-air).<\/p>\n
