La empresa IBM anunci\u00f3 un kit de herramientas para implementar la tecnolog\u00eda de cifrado totalmente homom\u00f3rfico (FHE) para sistemas operativos basados en Linux (para arquitecturas IBM Z y x86).<\/p>\n

Anteriormente disponible para macOS e iOS, el kit de herramientas FHE de IBM ahora ha sido lanzado tambi\u00e9n para Linux. La entrega se realiza en forma de contenedores Docker para tres distribuciones: CentOS, Fedora y Ubuntu Linux.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 hay de especial en la tecnolog\u00eda de cifrado homom\u00f3rfico completo? Esta tecnolog\u00eda permite cifrar tanto datos est\u00e1ticos como aquellos que cambian (cifrado \"en tiempo real\") mediante el cifrado \"pervasivo\". De este modo, el FHE permite trabajar con datos sin necesidad de descifrarlos.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, el sistema Data Privacy Passports (un sistema consolidado de protecci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n) permite a los clientes de IBM Z establecer permisos para trabajar con datos espec\u00edficos mediante un mecanismo de control de acceso y revocar el acceso a los datos incluso durante su transmisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Como informa IBM en su comunicado de prensa: \"Inicialmente propuesta por matem\u00e1ticos en los a\u00f1os 70 y luego demostrada por primera vez en 2009, la tecnolog\u00eda de cifrado homom\u00f3rfico completo se ha convertido en una forma \u00fanica de proteger la privacidad de la informaci\u00f3n. La idea es simple: ahora puedes procesar datos sensibles sin tener que descifrarlos primero. En pocas palabras, no puedes robar informaci\u00f3n si no puedes entenderla\".<\/p>\n

Para los clientes de IBM Z (s390x), la primera versi\u00f3n del kit de herramientas FHE para Linux solo admite Ubuntu y Fedora, mientras que para plataformas x86, esta herramienta tambi\u00e9n funciona en CentOS.<\/p>\n

Mientras tanto, IBM expres\u00f3 su confianza en que desarrolladores experimentados, bien familiarizados con Docker, podr\u00e1n portar f\u00e1cilmente el kit de herramientas FHE de IBM a otras distribuciones de GNU\/Linux. Cada versi\u00f3n del kit proporciona a los usuarios acceso a un entorno IDE (Entorno de Desarrollo Integrado) a trav\u00e9s del navegador web instalado en su sistema operativo.<\/p>\n
