Presentado<\/a><\/noindex> lanzamiento del servidor de pantalla Mir 2.1<\/a><\/noindex>, cuyo desarrollo contin\u00faa por parte de Canonical, a pesar de abandonar el desarrollo del entorno Unity y la edici\u00f3n de Ubuntu para smartphones. Mir sigue siendo relevante en los proyectos de Canonical y ahora se posiciona como una soluci\u00f3n para dispositivos integrados y el Internet de las Cosas (IoT). Mir puede utilizarse como un servidor compuesto para Wayland, permitiendo ejecutar en entornos basados en Mir cualquier aplicaci\u00f3n que utilice Wayland (por ejemplo, aquellas compiladas con GTK3\/4, Qt5 o SDL2). Se han preparado paquetes de instalaci\u00f3n para Ubuntu 18.04-20.10 (PPA<\/a><\/noindex>) y Fedora 30\/31\/32<\/a><\/noindex>. La nueva versi\u00f3n mejora la funcionalidad con el uso del protocolo Wayland y a\u00f1ade soporte para nuevos protocolos experimentales: zwp_linux_dmabuf_unstable_v1<\/a><\/noindex> para crear buffers wl_buffers utilizando el mecanismo DMABUF y wlr-foreign-toplevel-management<\/a><\/noindex> para conectar paneles y conmutadores de ventanas personalizados. El soporte para linux-dmabuf ha resuelto problemas de renderizado en las placas Raspberry Pi 4, y el wlr-foreign-toplevel-management ha ampliado las capacidades del entorno de escritorio. Se ha actualizado la implementaci\u00f3n del protocolo wlr_layer_shell_v1<\/a><\/noindex>, propuesto por los desarrolladores del entorno de escritorio Sway, y utilizado en el proceso de portaci\u00f3n del entorno de escritorio MATE a Wayland. <\/p>\n
