\nMicrosoft ha recompensado a investigadores de seguridad de la informaci\u00f3n con $374,300 en el marco del concurso Azure Sphere Security Research Challenge, que dur\u00f3 tres meses. A los participantes se les proporcion\u00f3 un kit de desarrollo, comunicaci\u00f3n directa con el equipo de seguridad del sistema operativo, soporte por correo electr\u00f3nico y acceso p\u00fablico al c\u00f3digo del n\u00facleo del sistema operativo.<\/p>\n

El objetivo del concurso era centrar la atenci\u00f3n de los investigadores en lo que m\u00e1s impacta la seguridad de los clientes. Por ello, se ofrecieron seis escenarios de investigaci\u00f3n con una recompensa adicional de hasta un 20% sobre la recompensa est\u00e1ndar del programa Azure Bounty (hasta $40,000), as\u00ed como $100,000 por dos escenarios de alta prioridad.<\/p>\n

Varios participantes ayudaron a descubrir vulnerabilidades potencialmente peligrosas en Azure Sphere. En total, se recibieron 40 informes durante el concurso, 30 de los cuales llevaron a mejoras en el producto. Diecis\u00e9is de ellos fueron recompensados, con un total de $374,300.<\/p>\n

La investigaci\u00f3n se llev\u00f3 a cabo en colaboraci\u00f3n con empresas como Avira, Baidu International Technology, Bitdefender, Bugcrowd, Cisco Systems Inc (Talos), ESET, FireEye, F-Secure Corporation, HackerOne, K7 Computing, McAfee, Palo Alto Networks y Zscaler.
