Al ver que incluso lo ocurrido con el programa youtube-dl<\/a>, cuando su repositorio fue bloqueado junto con el sistema de seguimiento de errores y las solicitudes de extracci\u00f3n, a pocos les motiv\u00f3 a renunciar a su dependencia de GitHub \u2014 ni siquiera el desarrollador de youtube-dl mismo<\/a> \u2014 Joey Hess decidi\u00f3 que hacer copias de seguridad de algo m\u00e1s que el c\u00f3digo fuente no es interesante para los usuarios de GitHub.<\/p>\n

A su vez, los repositorios git del c\u00f3digo fuente<\/em> en GitHub se archivan autom\u00e1ticamente por el sitio https:\/\/softwareheritage.org\/<\/a>, y los repositorios de terceros solo se pueden agregar manualmente, pero esta funci\u00f3n tiene fallos, adem\u00e1s de que no admite actualizaciones autom\u00e1ticas de copias. Surge un problema parad\u00f3jico: el usuario promedio de GitHub no piensa en las copias de seguridad, pero las obtiene, mientras que para aquellos que usan su propio servidor, quiz\u00e1s por fiabilidad, no se produce el archivo autom\u00e1tico, incluso si se utiliza su software.<\/p>\n
