Gparted 1.4 (GNOME Partition Editor) disk partition editor release is now available, supporting most file systems and partition types used in Linux. In addition to label management, editing, and creating partitions, GParted allows for reducing or increasing the size of existing partitions without data loss, checking partition table integrity, recovering data from lost partitions, and aligning the beginning of partitions to cylinder boundaries.
Uues versioonis:
- Added label usage for mounted file systems btrfs, ext2/3/4, and xfs.
- Implemented detection of the BCache mechanism used for caching access to slow hard drives on fast SSDs.
- Added detection of JBD (Journaling Block Device) partitions with external logs for EXT3/4 file systems.
- Resolved issues with detecting mount points of encrypted file systems.
- Fixed crashes during fast scrolling through the disk list in the interface.
Samaa aega on välja antud GParted LiveCD 1.4.0 Live-distro, mis on suunatud süsteemi taastamisele tõrke järel ja kettapalatite haldamisele GParted jaoturi abil. Laadimisfailide suurused on: 444 MB (amd64) ja 418 MB (i686). Distro on loodud Debian Sidi pakettide alusel seisuga 29. märts ja sisaldab uut ketta redaktori versiooni GParted 1.4.0 ning Linuxi kernelit 5.16.15.
