On the release of the 'Alt Workstation K 10.1' distribution, which comes with a graphical environment based on KDE Plasma. Boot and live images are prepared for the x86_64 architecture (6.1 GB, 4.3 GB). The operating system is included in the Unified Register of Russian software and complies with the requirements for the transition to infrastructure managed by domestic operating systems. Russian root encryption certificates are integrated into the core.
Like other operating systems from the 'Alt' family, the distribution is equipped with the Alterator graphical interface for system configuration, allowing management of users and groups, viewing system logs, adding printers, configuring the network, and more. The system operates successfully within an Active Directory domain (domain authentication, access to file resources and printing resources). Standard tools for office tasks are available — a web browser, an office suite of text editors and spreadsheets, as well as audio and video players and editors.
The downloaded version can be freely used only by individuals, including individual entrepreneurs. Commercial and government organizations may download and test the distribution. To operate permanently within a corporate infrastructure, legal entities need to purchase licenses or enter into licensing agreements in writing.
