Just announced in community mailing lists ALT an announcement regarding the public availability of the first builds for affordable single-board computers Raspberry Pi 4 based on the free software repository Sisyphus. The prefix regular in the build name indicates that it will now be produced regularly according to the current state of the repository. In fact, prototypes were recently showcased to the public at the OSSDEVCON-2019 conference in Kaluga. The author personally witnessed that the desktop performance on the RPi4 already meets the assessment of 'quite comfortable'. Moreover, it was pleasantly surprising that the single board did not overheat without active cooling or even heat sinks — the chips felt warm, but not hot. Obviously, for more serious tasks, quality power supply and cooling will still be necessary; nevertheless, the result is impressive.
Builds based on Sisyphus, as well as the stable branch p9 (kõrgemate RPi mudelite arhitektuur on neis tähistatud kui aarch64) töötab juba Raspberry Pi 3 B ja B+ mudelites, vastavalt nende riistvara võimekusele. Paigaldus- ja käivitamisjuhised on samuti avalikus ligipääsus. Ootame põnevusega RPi4 ametlike Alt perekonna distributsioonide käivitamist.
