PĂ€rast aasta arendust on vĂ€lja antud GStreamer 1.26, platvormidevaheline komponentide kogum, millega luuakse laia valikut multimeedia rakendusi, alates meedia mĂ€ngijatest ja helivideo failide konverteritest kuni VoIP-rakenduste ja voogesituse sĂŒsteemideni. GStreameri kood on saadaval LGPLv2.1 litsentsi alusel. Eraldi arendatakse plugin-uuendusi gst-plugins-base, gst-plugins-good, gst-plugins-bad, gst-plugins-ugly, samuti gst-libav mĂ€his ja voogesituse server gst-rtsp-server. API ja ABI tasandil on uus vĂ€ljaanne tagasiĂŒhilduv versiooniga 1.0. Binaarsed kogumid valmivad peagi Androidi, iOS-i, macOS-i ja Windowsi jaoks (Linuxis soovitatakse kasutada distributsi pakette).
GStreamer 1.26 pÔhialused:
- On lisatud VVC (Versatile Video Coding) videokodeerija ja dekodeerija, tuntud ka kui H.266 videokompressiooni standard, mille on vĂ€lja töötanud kooperatiivsete töötubade rĂŒhmad MPEG (ISO/IEC JTC 1) ja VCEG (ITU-T) koos selliste ettevĂ”tetega nagu Apple, Ericsson, Intel, Huawei, Microsoft, Qualcomm ja Sony. On lisatud uued multimeedia andme vastuvÔtjad (sink) hlscmafsink ja hlssink3 CMAF (fMP4) ja MPEG-TS fragmentide vÀljastamiseks ning hlsmultivariantsink variatiivse vÀljaande jaoks.
- MPEG-TS multimedia container packing and unpacking now supports codecs H.266, JPEG XS, AV1, and VP9, as well as SMPTE ST-2038 and ID3 metadata.
- Packers and unpackers for codec H.266/VVC have been added to Matroska and ISO MP4 formats. Unpackers for video in Hap and Lagarith formats have been added to MP4.
- Support for SMPTE 2038 has been added, which is a system for attaching additional data and metadata to multimedia containers.
- Improved integration with the Vulkan graphics API. Expanded capabilities for memory management, color space selection, device management, and full-screen operation. Added support for Vulkan extensions to accelerate decoding of H264 and H265 video. Enhanced performance of the encoder using Vulkan.
- Improved integration with OpenGL. Support for additional color conversion formats and pixel formats has been added. Support for importing streams using DMABufs has been added.
- Improved integration with the Qt6 library and QML.
- Components for integration with CUDA and NVIDIA Video Codec SDK have been expanded. An AV1 encoder based on the NVCODEC API has been added.
- The gst-d3d12 library has been implemented with encoders and decoders based on the Direct3D 12 API.
- Support for MIKEY key management on the client side has been added to the RTSP stack.
- Support for reordering audio channels has been added to audioconvert.
- Support for OpenGL/WGL on the Windows platform has been added to the GTK3 library-based plugin.
- Support for JPEG and PNG formats has been added to the imagefreeze element.
- The pitch element now supports playback in reverse.
- Authentication mechanisms on RTP servers have been improved in the rtmp2 element. Support for authentication in the Limelight CDN has been added.
- Elements for accelerating H.266 (VVC) decoding as well as for encoding VP8 and JPEG have been added to the VA-API integration plugin.
- Elements for working with QUIC protocol streams (raw QUIC, RTP-over-QUIC, and WebTransport) have been added.
- The gst-plugins-rs set has added 23 new elements or plugins written in Rust. Plugins written in Rust can be used in programs in any language, and their operation is similar to that of plugins in C and C++.
