Étienne Juvigny, also known as Tk-Glitch, known for his GitHub projects wine-tkg, wine-proton-tkg, and Tk-Glitch PKGBUILDs (the latter intended for distributions based on ArchLinux), after about ten years of support, has started to complain about his health. Because of this, he has been less frequently overseeing the "rebasing" of patches and accepting pull requests.
Étienne claims that he does not intend to abandon the repository. But it has also become known that he has appointed another manager for the Wine-TkG repository — Kirill Artemyev, also known as Artewar67.
So far, Kirill has faced an unforeseen challenge — on GitLab, the structure of directories for Wine has been broken, due to which the libraries (i386 and x86_64) are all installed together in one common directory, without separation by architecture. Kirill is handling this "rebasing" well.
We hope that in the future the support for the other TkG and Wine repositories will continue well and will not be abandoned.
