Esitled on Tails 7.1 (The Amnesic Incognito Live System), a specialized distribution developed as part of the Tor project. The distribution is based on Debian 13, comes with the GNOME 48 desktop, and is designed for anonymous internet access using the Tor toolkit. All connections, except traffic through the Tor network, are blocked by the packet filter by default. User data is encrypted for preservation between sessions. An iso image has been prepared for download, capable of running in Live mode, with a size of 2 GB.
Uues versioonis:
- As the homepage in the Tor Browser, a local page resembling the standard homepage of Tor Browser is used instead of an external page loaded from the Tails website.
- The password input dialogue before launching applications that require administrator rights now separately informs the user that the administrator password was not set on the login page (Welcome Screen).
- Updated versions of Tor Browser 14.5.8, Thunderbird 140.3.0, and Tor toolkit 0.4.8.19.
- The ifupdown package has been removed.
