fooyin («foo» from «foobar» and Chinese «音 (yīn)» – «sound». It also plays with «福音 (fúyīn)» – «good news») – is an audio player styled like Foobar2000, written in C++ using the Qt6 framework. Currently, it is natively available only on Linux. The player is distributed under the GNU GPL 3 license.
fooyin offers a plethora of customization options for managing and playing your music collection. It can be extended with plugins and a language. FooScript. Format support is provided by the FFmpeg library, along with several output options, including ALSA and PipeWire.
