Emulaatorina v\u00f5imaldab QEMU k\u00e4ivitada \u00fchel riistvara platvormil loodud programmi t\u00e4iesti erineva arhitektuuriga s\u00fcsteemis, n\u00e4iteks k\u00e4ivitada ARM-i rakendust x86 \u00fchilduval arvutil. Virtualiseerimise re\u017eiimis on QEMU-koodi t\u00e4itmise j\u00f5udlus isoleeritud keskkonnas l\u00e4hedane riistvara s\u00fcsteemile, kuna protsessori juhiseid t\u00e4idetakse otse ja kasutatakse Xen h\u00fcperviisorit v\u00f5i KVM moodulit.       <\/p>\n<p>Projekt loodi algselt Fabrice Bellardi poolt (Fabrice Bellard) eesm\u00e4rgiga v\u00f5imaldada x86 platvormile loodud Linuxi k\u00e4ivitatavate failide k\u00e4itamist arhitektuuridel, mis ei ole x86. Aastate jooksul on arendusse lisatud t\u00e4ieliku emulatsiooni tugi 14 riistvara arhitektuuri jaoks ning emuleeritud riistvaraseadmete arv on \u00fcletanud 400. QEMU 6.0 versiooni ettevalmistamisel tehti \u00fcle 3300 muudatuse 268 arendaja poolt.     <\/p>\n<p>QEMU 6.0-s lisatud peamised t\u00e4iustused:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> NVMe kontrollerite emulaator on viidud vastavusse NVMe 1.4 spetsifikatsiooniga ning on varustatud katse toe \u00fchendatud nimesalvestusruumide, mitme tee I\/O ja andmete kr\u00fcpteerimise funktsioonidega.\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud on katsevalikud &#171;-machine x-remote&#187; ja &#171;-device x-pci-proxy-dev&#187; seadmete emulatsiooni viimiseks v\u00e4listesse protsessidesse. Selle re\u017eiimi puhul toetatakse hetkel ainult SCSI-adapteri lsi53c895 emulatsiooni.\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud on katse tugi RAM-i sisu snapshotide loomiseks.\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud on FUSE-moodul plokkseadmete eksportimiseks, mis v\u00f5imaldab montaa\u017ei mis tahes plokkseadmest, mida kasutatakse k\u00fclaliss\u00fcsteemis. Eksport toimub QMP-k\u00e4su block-export-add v\u00f5i QEMU salvestusdaemonis valiku &#171;&#8212;export&#187; kaudu.\n<li class=\"l\"> ARM-emulaatorisse on lisatud tugi arhitektuurile ARMv8.1-M &#8216;Helium&#8217; ja Cortex-M55 protsessoritele, samuti laiendatud korraldustele ARMv8.4 TTST, SEL2 ja DIT. Lisatud on tugi ARM-plaadile mps3-an524 ja mps3-an547. Lisaks on xlnx-zynqmp, xlnx-versal, sbsa-ref, npcm7xx ja sabrelite seadmete t\u00e4iendav emulatsioon.\n<li class=\"l\"> ARM-i s\u00fcsteemi- ja kasutajakeskkonna emulatsioonire\u017eiimides on lisatud ARMv8.5 MTE (MemTag, Memory Tagging Extension) laienduse tugi, mis v\u00f5imaldab siduda iga m\u00e4lu eraldamise operatsiooni siltide ja korraldada m\u00e4lu juurde p\u00e4\u00e4semise kontrolli, mis peab olema seotud \u00f5ige sildiga.
