Projekti arendajate andmetel teenindab PowerDNS Authoritative Server umbes 30% k\u00f5igist domeenidest Euroopas (kui arvestada ainult DNSSEC-allkirjaga domeene, siis 90%). Projekti kood jaotatakse GPLv2 litsentsi alusel.    <\/p>\n<p>PowerDNS Authoritative Server v\u00f5imaldab talletada domeeninformatsiooni erinevates andmebaasides, sealhulgas MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite3, Oracle ja Microsoft SQL Server, samuti LDAPis ja tavalistes tekstifailides BIND formaadis. Vastuseid saab t\u00e4iendavalt filtreerida (n\u00e4iteks sp\u00e4mmifiltreeritakse) v\u00f5i suunata, kasutades enda kirjutatud t\u00f6\u00f6tlejaid keeltes Lua, Java, Perl, Python, Ruby, C ja C++.
