Haavatavusi saab kasutada UEFI Secure Booti kontrollimise mehhanismi \u00fcletamiseks.        <\/p>\n<p>Tuletatud haavatavused:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> CVE-2022-2601 \u2014 puhvrimi buuferi funktsioonis grub_font_construct_glyph() pf2 formaadis spetsiaalselt kujundatud fontide t\u00f6\u00f6tlemisel, mis tuleneb vale max_glyph_size parameetri arvestusest ja m\u00e4lu eraldamise alast, mis on ette n\u00e4htud gl\u00fcfide mahutamiseks v\u00e4hem kui vajalik.\n<li class=\"l\"> CVE-2022-3775 \u2014 m\u00e4lualast v\u00e4ljakirjutamine teatud Unicode'i j\u00e4rjestuste joonistamisel spetsiaalselt kujundatud fondiga. Probleem esineb fontide t\u00f6\u00f6tlemise koodis ja on p\u00f5hjustatud sobivate laius- ja k\u00f5rguskontrollide puudumisest gl\u00fcfi olemasoleva bitmap'i suuruse osas. R\u00fcndaja v\u00f5ib sisendit manipuleerida nii, et see kutsub esile andmete sabakirjutuse eraldatud m\u00e4lu piiridel. T\u00f5detakse, et hoolimata haavatavuse \u00e4rakasutamise keerukusest ei saa v\u00e4listada, et probleem ei viiks koodi t\u00e4itmisele.                <\/ul>\n<p> Parandus on avaldatud plaastrina. Haavatavuste lahendamise staatus jaotustes on saadaval j\u00e4rgmistele lehtedele: Ubuntu, SUSE, RHEL, Fedora, Debian. GRUB2 probleemide lahendamiseks pole lihtsalt piisav paketika uuendamine, vaid vajatakse ka uusi sise digitaalset allkirjastamist ja installeride, laadijate, kernelipakettide, fwupd-firmware ja shim-lahenduse uuendamist.       <\/p>\n<p>Enamikus Linuxi jaotustes kasutatakse UEFI Secure Booti kontrollimiseks v\u00e4ikest shim-lahendust, mille Microsoft on digitaalselt allkirjastanud. See lahendus valideerib GRUB2 oma sertifikaadiga, mis v\u00f5imaldab jaotuste arendajatel mitte kinnitada iga kerneliv\u00e4rskendust ja GRUBi Microsoftis. GRUB2 haavatavused v\u00f5imaldavad k\u00e4ivitada oma koodi shim'i eduka kontrollimise etapis, kuid enne operatsioonis\u00fcsteemi laadimist, takistades usaldus\u00f5iguse ahelas toime tulekut aktiivse Secure Booti re\u017eiimis ning saades t\u00e4ieliku kontrolli edasi laadimisprotsessi \u00fcle, sealhulgas teise operatsioonis\u00fcsteemi laadimist, operatsioonis\u00fcsteemi komponentide muutmist ja Lockdowni kaitse \u00fcletamist.     <\/p>\n<p>Kuna digitaalallkirja t\u00fchistamiseta haavatavuste blokeerimiseks v\u00f5ivad jaotised kasutada mehhanismi SBAT (UEFI Secure Boot Advanced Targeting), mille tugi on rakendatud GRUB2, shim ja fwupd enamikes tuntud Linuxi jaotustes. SBAT on v\u00e4lja t\u00f6\u00f6tatud koost\u00f6\u00f6s Microsoftiga ja h\u00f5lmab UEFI komponente sisaldavate esitamisfailide t\u00e4iendavate metaandmete lisamist, mis sisaldavad teavet tootja, toote, komponendi ja versiooni kohta. Loomulikult alla kirjutatud metaandmed v\u00f5ivad eraldi kuuluda lubatud v\u00f5i keelatud komponentide loenditesse UEFI Secure Boot jaoks.      <\/p>\n<p>SBAT v\u00f5imaldab blokeerida digitaalallkirja kasutamise \u00fcksikute komponentide versioonide numbrite jaoks ilma Secure Booti v\u00f5tmete t\u00fchistamise vajaduseta. Haavatavuste blokeerimine SBAT kaudu ei n\u00f5ua UEFI t\u00fchistatud sertifikaatide (dbx) loendi kasutamist, vaid toimub sisemise v\u00f5tme vahetuse tasemel allkirjade genereerimise ja GRUB2, shim ning teiste jaotustelt tarnitud laadimisartefaktide uuendamise jaoks. Enne SBAT'i rakendamist oli t\u00fchistatud sertifikaatide (dbx, UEFI Revocation List) loendi uuendamine t\u00e4ieliku haavatavuse blokeerimise kohustuslik tingimus, kuna r\u00fcndaja v\u00f5is,
