Installipildid on ette valmistatud arhitektuuridele amd64, i386, powerpc, powerpc64, powerpc64le, powerpcspe, armv7, aarch64 ja riscv64. T\u00e4iendavalt on loodud versioonid virtualiseerimiss\u00fcsteemidele (QCOW2, VHD, VMDK, raw) ja pilvekeskkondadele Amazon EC2, Google Compute Engine ja Vagrant. FreeBSD 14 haru saab olema viimane, mis toetab 32-bitiseid platvorme. FreeBSD 15-s j\u00e4\u00e4b alles vaid 64-bitiste s\u00fcsteemide tugi, kuid 32-bitiste programmide koostamine ja COMPAT_FREEBSD32 re\u017eiimi kasutamine 32-bitiste t\u00e4itmisfailide k\u00e4ivitamiseks 64-bitises keskkonnas j\u00e4\u00e4b v\u00f5imaluseks.     <\/p>\n<p>Peamised muudatused:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> K\u00e4skude t\u00f5lgendajana on kasutaja root jaoks vaikimisi seadistatud \/bin\/sh.\n<li class=\"l\"> NVMe seadmete jaoks on k\u00f5igil platvormidel vaikimisi kasutusel juhtimisseade nda. Vanema juhtimisseadme nvd tagasi toomiseks loader.conf-is on ette n\u00e4htud seadistus \u201ehw.nvme.use_nvd=1\u201c.    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud on uus t\u00f6\u00f6riist \u201efwget\u201c, mis tuvastab seadmed, mille jaoks on vajalikud p\u00fcsivara ja installib vastavad p\u00fcsivara paketid.
