Emulaatorina v\u00f5imaldab QEMU k\u00e4ivitada programmi, mis on koostatud \u00fchele riistvaraplatvormile, t\u00e4iesti erineva arhitektuuriga s\u00fcsteemis, n\u00e4iteks k\u00e4ivitada ARM-i rakendust x86-\u00fchilduval PC-l. Virtueerimise re\u017eiimis on QEMU-s koodi t\u00e4itmise j\u00f5udlus isoleeritud keskkonnas l\u00e4hedane riistvaras\u00fcsteemile, kuna instruktsioonide t\u00e4itmine toimub otse CPU-l ja kasutab Xen h\u00fcperviisorit v\u00f5i KVM moodulit.     <\/p>\n<p>Alguses l\u00f5i projekti Fabrice Bellard eesm\u00e4rgiga v\u00f5imaldada x86-le koostatud Linuxi t\u00e4idetavate failide k\u00e4ivitamist arhitektuuridel, mis erinevad x86-st. Aastate jooksul on t\u00e4iendatud toetust t\u00e4ielikule emulatsioonile 14 riistvaraarhitektuurile ning emuleeritud riistvaraseadmete arv on \u00fcletanud 400. Versiooni 8.2 ettevalmistamisel tehti rohkem kui 3200 muudatust 238 arendaja poolt.     <\/p>\n<p>QEMU 8.2-sse lisatud peamised parendused:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud on virtio-sound seade, mis v\u00f5imaldab emuleerida helikaarti heli salvestamiseks ja taasesitamiseks k\u00fclgs\u00fcsteemis, kasutades heli tagalasid (pulseaudio, sdl v\u00f5i coreaudio), mis t\u00f6\u00f6tavad host-s\u00fcsteemi k\u00fcljes. Linuxi tuumas peab k\u00fclgs\u00fcsteemi heliseadme emuleerimiseks olema lubatud valik CONFIG_SND_VIRTIO.\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud on virtuaalne graafiline liides (VGI, Virtual Graphics Interface) rutabaga koos virtuaalse GPU (virtio-gpu) rakendusega, mis meenutab varem saadaval olnud VirGL ja v\u00f5imaldab kasutada k\u00fclgs\u00fcsteemis virtuaalset GPU-d 3D-renderdamiseks ilma f\u00fc\u00fcsilisele GPU-le eksklusiivset otsep\u00e4\u00e4su andmata. Rutabaga kood on v\u00e4lja t\u00f6\u00f6tatud Android\/CrosVM projekti raames ja v\u00f5imaldab kasutada Androidi platvormi emulaatorit koos tavalise QEMU-ga.\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud hv-balloon seade, mis rakendab d\u00fcnaamilise m\u00e4lu haldamise protokolli (Dynamic Memory) Hyper-V jaoks, v\u00f5imaldades t\u00f6\u00f6s tagastada kasutamata m\u00e4lulehed host-s\u00fcsteemile ja k\u00fcsida t\u00e4iendavalt m\u00e4luruumi, kui m\u00e4lust j\u00e4\u00e4b puudu. Uut seadet v\u00f5ib pidada alternatiiviks virtio-balloonile Windowsi k\u00fclgs\u00fcsteemide jaoks, kasutades host-s\u00fcsteemi poolel backendit, mis toetab d\u00fcnaamilise m\u00e4lu protokolli.\n<li class=\"l\"> Pakutud on seadme Universal Flash Storage Flash-m\u00e4luseadme emuleerimiseks.\n<li class=\"l\"> NBD (Network Block Device) ploki seadme draiverisse on lisatud protokolli laiendamise tugi, mis kasutab j\u00f5udluse suurendamiseks 64-bitiseid nihkeid suurte andmemanipulatsioonide puhul.\n<li class=\"l\"> Dump-guest-memory k\u00e4sule on lisatud tugi v\u00e4ljundi andmiseks standardsetes kdump formaatides.\n<li class=\"l\"> Lisatud on UFS emuleerimise tugi, kasutades uusi ufs ja ufs-lu seadmeid.\n<li class=\"l\"> VFIO (Virtual Function I\/O) on lisatud P2P-migreerimise re\u017eiimi tugi ja rakendatud MSI-X d\u00fcnaamilise jaotamise v\u00f5imalus. On tehtud ettevalmistused \u00fcleminekuks uuele IOMMUFD backendile.\n<li class=\"l\"> Virtio-mem seadmes on rakendatud re\u017eiim &#171;dynamic-memslots=on&#187;, et d\u00fcnaamiliselt eraldada mitu m\u00e4lu pesa \u00fche suure staatilise jaotamise asemel. Selle re\u017eiimi kasutamine v\u00f5imaldab v\u00e4hendada m\u00e4lu tarbimist suurtes virtio-mem seadmetes, mis jagavad VM-ile v\u00e4ikest m\u00e4lu hulka.\n<li class=\"l\"> x86 arhitektuuri emulaatoris, emuleerides Xen h\u00fcperviisori keskkonda, <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/et\/vps\/abuzoustojchivye-vps\/\"   title=\"KVM\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4396\">KVM<\/a> on tagatud PV konsoli ja v\u00f5rguseadmete tugi ning lihtsustatud k\u00e4sud plokk- ja v\u00f5rguseadmete jaoks. Klassikalisse TCG koodigeneraatorisse on lisatud SHA k\u00e4skude tugi.\n<li class=\"l\"> ARM arhitektuuri emulaatoris on teostatud Cortex-A710 ja Neoverse-N2 CPU emulatsioon. Lisatud on protsessori laiendite PACQARMA3, EPAC, Pauth2, FPAC, FPACCOMBINE, TIDCP1, MOPS, HBC ja HPMN0 tugi. Xilinx Versal plaadi jaoks on teostatud CFU\/CFI ja TRNG seadmete modelleerimine.\n<li class=\"l\"> RISC-V arhitektuuri emulaatoris on teostatud vektorite kr\u00fcptograafiliste k\u00e4skude komplekt. Lisatud on virtuaalsete IRQ-de ja IRQ filtreerimise tugi. Stabiliseeritud on Zicond laiendite tugi. AIA (Advanced Interrupt Architecture) virtualiseerimise laiendite tugi on lisatud KVM kaudu.\n<li class=\"l\"> HPPA arhitektuuri emulaatoris on tagatud 64-bitise PA-RISC 2.0 CPU ja C3700 s\u00fcsteemi emulatsioon, sealhulgas Astro m\u00e4lukontroller ja Elroy PCI sillad.\n<li class=\"l\"> LoongArch arhitektuuri emulaatoris on rakendatud Loongson LA132 CPU emulatsioon. Lisatud on LASX k\u00e4skude laienduse tugi ja PRELDX k\u00e4sk.\n<li class=\"l\"> S390x arhitektuuri emulaatoris on lisatud vfio-ap tugi kr\u00fcptoadapteri edastamiseks kaitstud
