Haavatavuse t\u00f5ttu on v\u00f5imalik \u00fchenduda loodud juurdep\u00e4\u00e4supunktiga ilma parooli teadmiseta, n\u00e4iteks kui kasutaja hangib selges\u00f5naliselt v\u00f5rgu\u00fchenduse jagamise oma seadme kaudu (Hotspot). Probleem on lahendatud IWD versioonis 2.14.\n<p>Haavatavus tuleneb ebapiisavast kontrollist, kuidas k\u00f5ik sammud toimuvad 4-etapilises siduskanali l\u00e4bir\u00e4\u00e4kimises, mis toimub esmakordsel \u00fchendamisel kaitstud traadita v\u00f5rguga. Kuna IWD aktsepteerib s\u00f5numeid mis tahes \u00fchenduse l\u00e4bir\u00e4\u00e4kimise etappidel, ilma et eelneva etapi l\u00e4bimist kontrollitaks, v\u00f5ib agressor v\u00e4ltida teise etapi s\u00f5numi saatmist ja saata otse neljanda etapi s\u00f5numi, saades juurdep\u00e4\u00e4su v\u00f5rku, m\u00f6\u00f6da minnes etapi, kus toimub autentimise kontroll.     <\/p>\n<p>Samal ajal p\u00fc\u00fcab IWD kinnitada neljanda etapi saadud s\u00f5numi MIC (S\u00f5numi Terviklikkuse Kood). Kuna teise etapi autentimisparameetreid sisaldavat s\u00f5numit ei ole saadud, seadistatakse neljanda etapi s\u00f5numi t\u00f6\u00f6tlemisel PTK (Paari Ajutine V\u00f5ti) v\u00f5tme v\u00e4\u00e4rtus nulliks. Vastavalt sellele saab agressor arvutada MIC-i, kasutades nullv\u00e4\u00e4rtusega PTK-d, ja see kontrollkood aktsepteeritakse IWD poolt kehtivana. Sellise ebapiisava \u00fchenduse l\u00e4bir\u00e4\u00e4kimiste l\u00f5petamisel saab agressor t\u00e4ieliku juurdep\u00e4\u00e4su traadita v\u00f5rgule, kuna juurdep\u00e4\u00e4supunkt aktsepteerib tema saadetud kaadreid, mis on kr\u00fcpteeritud nullv\u00f5tmega PTK.        <\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> wpa_supplicant'i avastatud probleem (CVE-2023-52160) v\u00f5imaldab kurjategijal petta kasutajat vale traadita v\u00f5rku, mis on klooniks v\u00f5rgule, millega kasutaja soovib \u00fchenduda. Kui kasutaja \u00fchendub valev\u00f5rguga, v\u00f5ib agressor korraldada kasutaja koodeksitud vahetrafiku (nt HTTPS-i veebisaitide k\u00fclastamisel) pealtkuulamise.\n<p>PEAP (Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol) protokolli rakendamise puuduj\u00e4\u00e4gi t\u00f5ttu v\u00f5ib r\u00fcndaja saavutada teise autentimise etapi vahelej\u00e4tmise, kui \u00fchendatakse valesti seadistatud kasutaja seade. Teise autentimise etapi vahelej\u00e4tmine v\u00f5imaldab r\u00fcndajal luua usaldusv\u00e4\u00e4rse Wi-Fi v\u00f5rgu klooni ja tagada kasutaja \u00fchenduse loomine valev\u00f5rguga ilma parooli kontrollimata.     <\/p>\n<p>R\u00fcnnaku edukaks l\u00e4biviimiseks peab kasutajapoolses wpa_supplicant'is olema kontroll keelatud. <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/et\/ssl-sertifikat\/\"   title=\"TLS-sertifikaati\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"948\">TLS-sertifikaati<\/a> serveri, ning r\u00fcndaja peab teadma traadita v\u00f5rgu identifikaatorit (SSID, Service Set Identifier). Samuti peab r\u00fcndaja olema ohvri traadita adapteri k\u00e4eulatuses, kuid v\u00e4ljaspool kloonitud traadita v\u00f5rgu juurdep\u00e4\u00e4supunkti ulatust. R\u00fcnnak on v\u00f5imalik WPA2-Enterprise v\u00f5i WPA3-Enterprise v\u00f5rkudes, kus kasutatakse PEAP-protokolli.      <\/p>\n<p>wpa_supplicant'i arendajad on \u00f6elnud, et nad ei pea seda probleemi haavatavuseks, kuna see ilmneb ainult valesti seadistatud traadita v\u00f5rkudes, kus EAP autentimine toimub koos PEAP protokolliga (EAP-TTLS) ilma TLS-sertifikaadi kontrollimata. <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/et\/server\/dts-los-angeles\/\"   title=\"serverilt\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3604\">serverilt<\/a>. Konfiguratsioonid, kus sertifikaadi kontroll puudub, ei ole aktiivsete r\u00fcnnakute eest kaitstud. Haavatavuse avastajad v\u00e4idavad, et sellised valesti seadistatud konfiguratsioonid on t\u00fc\u00fcpilised ja laialdaselt levinud, mis seab ohtu paljud Linuxi, Androidi ja Chrome OS-i p\u00f5hised tarbija seadmed, kus kasutatakse wpa_supplicant'i.     <\/p>\n<p>Probleemi blokeerimiseks on wpa_supplicant'ile v\u00e4lja antud plaastrid, mis lisavad teise autentimise etapi kohustuslikuks l\u00e4bimise re\u017eiimi koos TLS-sertifikaadi kontrollimisega. Arendajate s\u00f5nul on soovitatud muudatus vaid ringtee, mis teeb r\u00fcnnakute l\u00e4biviimise keerulisemaks manualse autentimise kasutamisel ja on kasutu selliste valikute nagu EAP-GTC kasutamisel.
