OpenSSH arendajad on alustanud sshd jagamist mitmeks eraldi k\u00e4ivitatavaks failiks. Esimene samm oli koodibaasi lisamine, mis eraldab sshd protsessi sshd-session, mis tegeleb seansside haldamisega. Protsessi sshd on j\u00e4etud funktsioonid, mis vastutavad v\u00f5rgus \u00fchenduste vastuv\u00f5tmise, konfiguratsiooni kontrollimise, hostide v\u00f5tmete laadimise ja MaxStartups parameetri kohaselt k\u00e4ivitatavate protsesside juhtimise eest.
