Esimeste eemaldamiseks kandidaatideks on ARMv4 (ilma ARMv4T eemaldamata), iWMMXt, BE32 ja OABI.    <\/p>\n<p>Vanade ARM CPU-de toe l\u00f5petamine tuuma sees kattub nende toe l\u00f5petamisega GCC-s &#8212; m\u00f5ned eemaldamiseks ette n\u00e4htud CPU-d ei ole juba v\u00e4rsketes GCC harudes toetatud, samas kui osade plaanitakse eemaldamine tulevastes v\u00e4ljaannetes, mis lihtsustab kompilatori uuendamist ja uute v\u00f5imaluste rakendamist. Toe eemaldamine arhitektuurist GCC-s n\u00f5uab selle toe eemaldamist ka tuumast juhul, kui suurendatakse GCC minimaalset toetatud versiooni (praegu on tuuma koostamiseks vajalik v\u00e4hemalt GCC versioon 5.1).      <\/p>\n<p>Arhitektuurid, kiibid ja laiendused, mille eemaldamist tuumast soovitatakse:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> ARMv3 &#8212; toetus on juba l\u00f5petatud GCC 9-s.\n<li class=\"l\"> ARMv4 &#8212; kasutatakse veel kasutuses olevates StrongARM ja FA526 protsessorites, kusjuures k\u00f5ige uuemad neist kiipidest on v\u00e4lja antud umbes 20 aastat tagasi. ARMv4 toe l\u00f5petamine toimus Debian 5.0-s. E soovitatakse alguses l\u00f5petada ARMv4 toetus GCC-s, ja paar aastat hiljem ka tuumas.\n<li class=\"l\"> ARMv4T &#8212; leiduvaid 6 SoC peret, millel on ARM720T, ARM920T ja ARM922T tuumad, mis on levinumad kui ARMv4-p\u00f5hised SoC-d. ARMv4T toe l\u00f5petamine toimus Debian 9.0-s. Tuumas plaanitakse ARMv4T toe l\u00f5petamist, mitte varem kui ARMv5 toe l\u00f5petamisel.\n<li class=\"l\"> ARMv5 &#8212; kasutatakse umbes 1\/3 k\u00f5igist tuumas toetatud platvormidest, kuid enamik neist platvormidest on l\u00e4hedal eluts\u00fckli l\u00f5pule. Debian j\u00e4tkab ARMv5 toe pakkumist, kuid FPU ja atomaarsete toimingute puudumise t\u00f5ttu muutub toe s\u00e4ilitamine \u00fcha raskemaks ja t\u00f5en\u00e4oliselt suunatakse Debian port ARMv5 jaoks peagi mitte ametlikesse.\n<li class=\"l\"> Armv6 algsed p\u00f5lvkonnad &#8212; kasutatakse sellistes SoC-des nagu ARM1136r0p (NXP i.MX31) ja OMAP24xx (Nokia N8xx), kuid nende tugi n\u00f5uab hack\u2019e S\u00fcsteemide smp tuumades t\u00f6\u00f6tamiseks.\n<li class=\"l\"> ARMv6K &#8212; kasutatakse ARM1176 (Raspberry Pi 1, AST2500) ja ARM1136r1. Tuumas ei ole puudu toetuse l\u00f5petamiseks, kuid jaotustes tekivad raskused, kuna see ei vasta arhnassety setile armv7-a + vfpv3-d16.\n<li class=\"l\"> ARMv7-M &#8212; kasutatakse Cortex-M3 \/ M4 \/ M7 p\u00f5histel mikrokontrolleritel, mis j\u00e4\u00e4vad viimasteks tuumas toetatud kiipideks ilma m\u00e4lu juhtimise plokita (MMU). T\u00f6\u00f6tamine MMU-ta s\u00fcsteemide tuumadega l\u00f5petati 2017. aastal, p\u00e4rast \u00fcleminekut selliste kiipide arendusele RTOS-idele, nagu Zephyr. Vanades Debian versioonides toetati ainult little-endian re\u017eiimi, kuid draiverites on veel lahendamata probleeme. Soovitame eemaldada BE32 toe GCC-st ja tuumast, kuna draiverite puhul pole keegi aastaid probleeme lahendama p\u00fc\u00fcdnud.\n<li class=\"l\"> BE8 (big-endian ARMv7) \u2014 paljudes draiverites on probleeme, testimine on l\u00f5petatud ja pole teavet kasutusele j\u00e4\u00e4vate seadmete kohta. BE8 re\u017eiim v\u00f5ib olla huvitav, et testida kasutajaruumi komponente big-endian s\u00fcsteemides, seet\u00f5ttu plaanitakse BE8 tuge tuumas ja GCC-s s\u00e4ilitada v\u00e4hemalt m\u00f5ned aastad, kuni see hakkab probleeme p\u00f5hjustama.    <\/ul>\n<p>Eemaldamiseks pakutud Linuxi tuum v\u00f5imalused:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">  param_struct struktuur, mida kasutatakse enne ATAGS (ARM Tag-Area) \u2014 kuulutati aegunuks juba 2001. aastal, kuid seda kasutatakse endiselt RiscPC ja Footbridge platvormide koodis.\n<li class=\"l\"> ATAGS struktuuri alusel loodud parameetrifailid (kasutati konfiguratsiooni teabe edastamiseks Device Tree\u2019ni) \u2014 tuumas on alles 29 faili, mis on seotud 10 SoC platvormiga, mis kasutavad ATAGS-d.\n<li class=\"l\"> OABI (Old ABI, vana ABI ARM arhitektuuri jaoks) \u2014 peaaegu igal pool kasutatakse n\u00fc\u00fcd EABI (Embedded ABI). OABI on paljude t\u00f5rgete p\u00f5hjus, kuna draiverite arendajad on l\u00f5petanud selle omap\u00e4ra arvestamise. OABI toetus kasutajaruumi komponentide kokkupanemisel l\u00f5petati GCC 4.8-s, kuid tuumas j\u00e4i lipp \u201e-mabi=apcs-gnu\u201d alles. Soovitame OABI praegu s\u00e4ilitada, kuid keerulisemaks muuta selle eksitava aktiveerimise.\n<li class=\"l\"> OABI \u00fchilduvuse re\u017eiim (OABI_COMPAT) \u2014 v\u00f5imaldab k\u00e4itada OABI jaoks koostatud t\u00e4idiseid, kasutades EABI tuuma. Draiverites esineb eraldi probleeme, mis on seotud ioctl \u00fchilduvusega, kuid selle re\u017eiimi hooldamise t\u00f6\u00f6koormus on m\u00e4rgatavalt v\u00e4iksem kui OABI tuumade hooldamine. StrongARM toetuse s\u00e4ilitamiseks oleks m\u00f5istlik s\u00e4ilitada OABI v\u00f5i OABI_COMPAT toetust.\n<li class=\"l\"> NWFPE (No Floating Point Emulator, uju emulator h\u00f5ljumispunkti operatsioonide t\u00e4itmiseks) \u2014 plaastrid eemaldamiseks pakuti juba 11 aastat tagasi, kuid NWFPE on vajalik m\u00f5nede kasutajaruumi komponentide t\u00f6\u00f6ks, mis on kokku pandud OABI jaoks, seega on soovitatav NWFPE tugi s\u00e4ilitada seni, kuni tuumas on OABI v\u00f5i OABI_COMPAT tugi.\n<li class=\"l\">  Highmem (kasutatakse m\u00e4lu haldamiseks piirkondades p\u00e4rast 1 GB) \u2014 enamiku ARM-s\u00fcsteemide puhul saab t\u00f6\u00f6tada ilma highmemi sissel\u00fclitamata v\u00f5i kasutada CONFIG_VMSPLIT_2GB, et p\u00e4\u00e4seda juurde esimestele 2GB f\u00fc\u00fcsilisest m\u00e4lust. T\u00f6\u00f6tatakse v\u00e4lja head ligip\u00e4\u00e4su 4GB RAM-ile LPAE tasemega s\u00fcsteemides (Cortex-A7\/A15), p\u00e4rast mille valmimist v\u00f5ib highmemi toetus eemaldada.\n<li class=\"l\"> Sparsemem \u2014 vajalik s\u00fcsteemidele, kus on vaja highmemi.    <\/ul>\n<p>Eemaldamiseks ettepanekud platformide kohta:    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> RiscPC \u2014 vanim toetatud platvorm tuumas. Ei toetata GCC-s alates 9.x harust, kuna ARMv3 toetus eemaldati. Hooldaja j\u00e4tkab tuuma t\u00f6\u00f6 testimist sellel platvormil, kuid n\u00e4ib, et reaalsete kasutajate pole, seega v\u00f5ib toetus l\u00f5petada, kui hooldaja huvi kaob.\n<li class=\"l\"> SA1100, Footbridge \u2014 vananenud platvormid, hoitakse vaid nostalgiast. Peaaegu k\u00f5ik failid platvormide kirjeldusega on tuumas 6.3 eemaldatud, j\u00e4\u00e4b vaid tugi seadmetele ipaq h3600, assabet, netwinder ja ebsa285. Eemaldamise k\u00fcsimus s\u00f5ltub hooldaja kavatsustest.\n<li class=\"l\">  Gemini, Moxart \u2014 kasutavad ARMv4 arhitektuuriga CPU-sid. Kiibid on toodetud \u00fcle 20 aasta tagasi, kuid nende toe hoidmine ei n\u00f5ua hoolduses t\u00e4iendavaid j\u00f5upingutusi, seega pole m\u00f5tet neid eemaldada enne StrongARM platvormi eemaldamist.\n<li class=\"l\"> PXA toetavad failid \u2014 platvormid on h\u00fcljatud ja v\u00e4lja langenud, kui huvi nende vastu ei naase, kavatsetakse need eemaldada 2025. aasta alguses.\n<li class=\"l\"> OMAP1 \u2014 \u00fchelt poolt j\u00e4\u00e4b ainukeseks ARMv4T\/ARMv5 platvormiks, millel pole Device Tree tuge ja pole mingeid liikumisi Device Tree \u00fclemineku suunas, kuid teiselt poolt on platvormil endiselt kasutajad.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nspire, AT91RM9200, CLPS711X, EP93xx, iMX1 \u2014 kasutavad ARMv4T arhitektuuriga CPU-sid. Platvormi kasutatakse j\u00e4tkuvalt heli kodeerijate testimiseks, seet\u00f5ttu on eemaldamine edasi l\u00fckatud kuni testimise \u00fcleviimiseni teisele plaadile.\n<li class=\"l\"> Orion5x, mv78xx0 \u2014 eemaldamise k\u00fcsimust plaanitakse arutada j\u00e4rgmisel aastal.\n<li class=\"l\"> iMX35, WM8750, AST2500, BCM2835 \u2014 saavad head tuge ja neil on aktiivsed kasutajad, seega ei plaanita neid eemaldada.\n<li class=\"l\"> stm32f4\/f7\/h7 \u2014 mikrokontrollerid ilma MMU-ta, tuum toetamine j\u00e4tkub ja aktiivseid kasutajaid on.
